Already hitchhiked through Hungary Greece Serbia Macedonia and Bulgaria, wonderful experience but if not my hitchhike experienced friend I was with I'd be fucked

I hitchhiked several times in my region because the nearest train station is 35 km away and there is no bus.
One time in winter I got picked up by 5 dutch girls. 2 of them got out of the car to let me in so I was squeezed between 3 of them on the back seat. Once we started driving they joked "aren't you afraid, all alone with 5 strangers? We could kidnap you and God knows what could happen to you"
Wouldn't recommend it for women though
