we have the same around Szczecin, a house in villages on the German side is cheaper than on the Polish side + you get access to German benefits, infrastructure, education for your children etc. so many people move there while still working in Poland

Isn't that the same almost everywhere? in the 90s my home village was pretty nice. Now only old people live there and a lot of abondoned houses etc There's not even any shops closest services are 40km away
