This is of no surprise. 3 biggest lies told to children are "bullies are losers", "women like nice guys" and "Good things come to those who wait".

Bullying boosts the bully's self-confidence, making them sexier, lowers the bullied's confidence, continuing to make them losers. The loser's confidence is further lowered when the supposed safeguards and lessons they believed in fails, such as teachers ignoring the problem, bullies becoming popular, and seeing bullying continue into adulthood and on a national scale, e.g. see gingers in the UK and incels in America.

Those are bullies who use friendly/clever/frontal type of bullies

Yeah that sounds great but the catch is now every parent considers the most minuscule slight to their child 'bullying' so the school has to deal with flippant shit all day

Realistically teachers can't watch over your child all day, and then there's social media aspect that can't be policed much at all, and if the bullied kid decides to do what's right after all--fighting back--it's an automatic suspension now, if you're in high school you might even get arrested. So there's no real solution to the problem

And then some bullies turn out to be friendly and charismatic when they get older, so you don't even feel like you're allowed to hold a grudge against the bastards. They get the best of both worlds.

I was part of the popular kids at high school and use to bully somewhat (not much like my friends but still).
And some years later I honestly regret a lot of it, and feel bad from time to time. I wonder if I'm the only one.
