>buy an appartment
what strange europoor nonsense is this
Is living in a van redpilled?
this is another thing, imagine parking somewhere and going to your job to go back and find out the entire interior of the van has been robbed? Yes it could happen to your house aswell but a van/car is just that much more likely to happen to.
I guess you could mitigate this by living/parking in a white area or something, being a van nomad would make white flight so much more efficient
I have a fucking cool van that I travel in. Have a family so also have a house but if it went tits up I'd be in the van full time and saving my money. Its doable and I wish I'd had van when I was a bit younger and in a position to save more.
those vans have 10 cm of sheet metal walls and reinforced windows, it's more safe than your average house
that's a valid point but average house price in US is $200,000 and we are at peak of the housing bubble, some areas you won't find a house under $400,000
a van that you build yourself can be $30,000 and they actually hold value pretty good, I have seen even 6 year old ones selling for 70% of their original price
all the vans have solar panels and AC, otherwise it would be a nightmare in there
you can have alarms that notify you on your phone if it's been broken into, plus it's not easy to rob a van like that, much harder than your average house
not to mention a regular white van parked on the street is an unlikely target for robbery when thiefs don't know what's inside
seems like with the white panel van you'd just have to shower at a gym or something, right?
that's just a random parked van I found on google, but even that one could fit a shower although it would be cramped inside and not as comfy as the bigger vans
Okay enough criticising then, let me introduce the tiny house as an alternative option. Costs about €50,000-€70,000. It's got a lot more room, it's all green energy and recycled water.
that's even shittier than the van desu, who would want this? resale value next to nil outside of retarded hipsters
>that's just a random parked van I found on google, but even that one could fit a shower although it would be cramped inside and not as comfy as the bigger vans
is there a sweet spot? desu I prefer as cheap as possible but there must be some golden mean
You can also have it build with a chassis and wheels under the home so you can hook it up to your car/van and move your home anywhere you'd like.
