Look at the population of Ireland prior to the potato famine and then look at the current population of Ireland.

It's fake

>nothing changes except some cities

Holly shit, that difference between France and Spain.

also: Transylvania again outshines the rest of Romania.

>where you live used to have 10 to 30 inhabitants per mile

Why is spain so low? Did they just send everyone over to the new world to die?

Who else /holy roman empire/ here ?

France had nearly 900 years of general internal stability while Spain sufferd a lot during the Requonquista and so did the Balkans (ethnic cleansing during the ottomans).

Russia / Poland did not YET have the population boom triggered by the agricultural revolution of the potatoe and their climate cant sustain lager population at the time.

Without the famine Ireland would be as populous as the Netherlands

tragic what happened to Ireland tbqh

>that Transylvania
>that Moldova
>no Wallachia
>no united principalities

we always had low population compared to france, germany and the UK

For reference (The cartography we use distorts land mass based on how far from the equator it is)...

Eternal anglo is not tragic, it's the devil eye

Lack of rivers and good soil

>Ireland
>Anglo
DrĂ´le.

Transilvania has gold, silver, iron and is literally a big mountain crated with fertile land...it could never be conquerd by the turks and held so they prospered while Wallahia and Moldova endured bitter taxes due to the fact they are basically just a fertile plane ready to be invaded at any time.

Similar to current.

retard

France has consistently been 3 times the population size of Spain throughout history. regarless of recontiquista or other shit.

you're practically all living in america

I always forget that Poland-Lithuania thing.

We're HRE too in 1600, this map is fake.

We're practically the same country, culturally.
Don't believe the memes.

Around the times of the French revoluton, france had around 25 million people while Spain and England had around 7 million each (so 3-4 times less). Also, France had a bigger population than all German states (not counting the non-Germans in Austria) combined
But then in the 19th century France stagnated and by the begining of the 20th century Germany had a 50% larger population while England cought up and Spain came to around 2/3 of the French population

They lost a LOT of men during WW1/2.

France had higher pop than Russian Empire
Data differs slightly by source but everywhere Russia is smaller than France

Yeah but I'm talking about the time when France lost the huge population advantage it had over other big Western Euro countries (Spain, Britain, Germany). And that happened in the 19th century when their birthrates went down like crazy, so before WWs. Also they didn't lose many people in WW2.
France was probably the first country where peasants stopped having children like crazy

France didn't lose many men in WW2 and in WW1 they lost proportionally as much as the other powers.

Why did Belgians stop having children?

>France was probably the first country where peasants stopped having children like crazy
they they dont fuck?

18th century France was scary as fuck
They were in a bit of a pickle while surrounded by Habsbourgs in Spain and Germany, but after they kicked Habsbours out of Spain in early 18th century and basically made Spain their bitch, they were able to go 1 vs the whole of Europe easily.
If you look at it like that, what Napoleon did doesn't even seem like a too big of a surprise. France was op as fuck

Few people know this, but the Medieval Rus' was too cold to sustain large urban centers before the cultivation of winter wheat

>And that happened in the 19th century when their birthrates went down like crazy
It was a cultural thing, the nobility having fewer children was trend that started with the french nobility in the 18th century

>France was probably the first country where peasants stopped having children like crazy
No need to worry. Their birth rate is being boosted by blacks. They will have a growing population for a long time.

america is wunderbar :)

Industrialization most likely
I think there were times in the 19th century when Belgium was on top in terms of industrial production per capita

We all need to be having more unprotected sex like God mandated

Go read the lyrics to La Marseillaise and realize why mass immigration is going to end really fucking poorly for the immigrants.

That explains a lot. Antwerp and Brussels look really big compared to Dutch cities due to their urban layout. Our population started to grow much later.

cringe

French people violently revolt just because it's the weekend. Applying significant economic and cultural pressure on them in a stark us/them scenario is going to lead to bloodshed.

Fulltaly

yeah you're so based and dangerous

Are you blind or just stupid?

I see
