How Americanized is Britain?

...

People do pronounce things differently now. Such as "Mall" or "Advertisement"

Why so ? Love island ? Too bad, scottish accent is guud

>America is a democracy
*oligarchy

don't know anyone who calls it a mall, everyone still refers to it as shopping centre up north

>People don't really use American slang.
You hear some american slang.

we have our own dialect (which may i add, differs greatly between regions/counties), sports, entertainment and literature
as culturally independent as it gets if you ask me
wrong
currently reading event by zizek and the republic by plato

Extremely.

Not really. The different British cultures and American culture is similar but there's hundreds of years of divergence between the two.

>Do they use American slangs
In part, mostly our own though, in fact that's the very thing we're criticised for by Americans sometimes, despite it being our language
>watch American shows
About the same as every western country
>play American sports
No
>read American books?
I'm not much of a book reader but from what I can tell not really
