Well I don't know either. Becuase what I consider Danish is pretty old. I mostly think of old writers like Pontopidan and Stenn Stennsen. But very few Danes read those outside of school. Overall it seems theres a lot cultural engagement. And if I make a definition it will be too narrow, thereby making all people in Denmark, non-danish after my standard.
Maybe? I think any country that has been americanised and been subject to too much foreign culture without conserving its own, asks these questions.

Regarding what you said before about taking Denmark for granted ; I met a Dane the other night and she seemed to think people have it better in Spain. Even though Spain has a high unemployment rate and lower average salary than Denmark.

As for modern Danish culture; I still think Denmark is a much different place from the US, but what I would define as Danish as opposed to broadly Scandinavian, I'm less sure of.

I think its easier for outsiders to point out our own differences. Its kinda hard to make out whats what from the inside. A broader perspective is needed.
