I'm not really sure, but the two of the four Filpinos I kind of new were pretty obviously from the Philippines: the first one is guy that moved here during fifth grade, everyone thougt his older sister was hot and he became chad in eighth grade, I had no idea what a Filipino was at the time so I used to call him Kim Joung-Un; the next one is girl that moved to the US last year, she was brown so that surprised a lot of us; the other one was born her and made a lot of self-deprecating jokes.

But we have different types of filipinos, like tagalogs who live in the capital regions which filipino is based on and are also the most numerous. Visayans which live in well, the visayas and also in most parts of our country's southern island - mindanao. Overall the country has many different ethnicities and cultures but foremost we call ourselves filipino when dealing with foreigners.
