I was still a youngin, but I remember waking up on my own at a time later than my parents usually got me up for kindergarten, wandering out to the living room and seeing my mom and dad holding each other watching some news feed of some city skyline. I told them that I thought I was late for school, to which my dad told me that school was cancelled today. I was like "sweet" and went back to bed for a few more hours.

And that's all I remember about 9/11.

I was a 17 year old boy just starting my senior year of high school. I paid some attention to news and politics, and I knew that in the mainstream news, the impression was that things were really boring. The only news was a shark attack or two off the coasts.

That morning, I got up and did my early-morning paper route, then came back home around 7:00 a.m. CST, and took my nap before going to school (mom drove me the few blocks before she went to her own work). When I woke up in my loft bed, I could sort-of see into the parent's bedroom, where dad was watching the feed intently. I got up in time to see the second plane hit. I have a very clear (non-falsified) memory of understanding that this was the work of Bin Laden-I remembered the earlier Cole bombing stuff, and previous reports about Bin Laden's technical sophistication: "he has an e-mail address!", they said once. Dad speculated perhaps 20,000 dead (I think).

My school periods went like this: first three periods (history/government/science and maybe something else), we didn't do anything at all. We just hung out. Very strangely, the last class, the math class in a windowless room, proceeded exactly as normal, in autistic obliviousness in a windowless room, thanks to the muted teacher (I would later complete a math degree). I found it very distasteful that adults were worried about the economy. When I came home I had TV, radio and internet available, so I bathed myself in information-porn and also masturbated to real porn the same day.

I also have a very clear memory of the (alleged) Palestinian woman in glasses celebrating, so I knew Trump was telling the truth about what he remembered. For me, already an atheist, the event demonstrated in a spectacular way the evil of religion itself, across the board: in response, Jerry Falwell blamed feminists and gays for the attack in cosmic terms.

Everyone was in panic mode basically. She was just probably scared and wanted us to be safe at home

I was on a school field trip at a local news station

i was doing homework and saw it on tv, thought nothing of it and kept on looking for tmnt
apparently it was big news and a lot of people were happy about it, very spiteful, i guess its because of bombing of serbia 2 years prior
the commieblock got together and on the first floor balcony a large tv hanged and we watched every news channel we could find, all 5 of them
some sang nationalistic songs and threw firecrackers, shot guns and waved flags, some called their relatives in serbia, others just didnt give a shit and thought why is this so important and dramatic
