You need to either get faster transportation, a closer job location, or a house closer to your job. Because working 7:30-4:00 is only 30 minutes longer than working 9:00-5:00, and most Americans are able to survive with it. You spend 3 hours and 45 minutes per day on transportation, imagine cutting 2-3 hours off of that, it will change your day drastically.

I know this is anecdotal but I knew a guy that lived in Germany for many years,I was under the impression Germans worked an insane amount of time per week,so I told him that,he just laughed. He said Germans hated working, the least the better, however they were efficient as hell in what they did which in part would explain how their still doing good,working little.
