Now that China is million miles ahead of Taiwan in terms of military, technology, diplomatic influence, economy and so on, pro-China Taiwanese noticed it's no longer possible to fight mainland and thus have been acting to make them look like kneeling down to Xi obediently and begging for tons of secret money and protection, because that's what only matters after all.
