この国のうるさい選挙時のことは政治家から電話とメールだよ。三ヶ月前から、毎日たくさんのスパムメールが皆に来ていた。ナンバーディスプレイがない電話もあるけど、イスラエルで「TrueCaller」というアプリは人気があるから、その電話を見分けられます。来日しかも、俺はその電話が二回かけました。

I tried using anki for the first time today. And everything went well till it ended. I want to do the exact same cards again, but how do I do that? I do not want to increase it. When I try review forgotten cards, it only gives me a few from the initial ones. Some direction please.

Forgotten ones are the ones you failed within the last x days

no Tapris

How do I repeat the same cards I just did today?

I would've told you if I knew~

Tomorrow you retard

wait until tomorrow
if you want to you can change your intervals, deck options > new cards/lapses > steps

I used to think that 'whoa' must be 'whore'.

Don't do this

I am so confused. I got time to study a little more, and I would like to review now that I got time. I can wait till tomorrow to learn new stuff, but I want to review the old stuff I just did, now. Am I sounding insane for wanting to give what I learned today another go?

発音は違う。whoreの最初の子音はHだ、whoaのはWだ

You'll have plenty of time to waste later on, take it easy now before hell begins.

fuck anki and study whatever/wherever

I get the desire to do a lot early but don't. It's more important to keep a steady pace and do your reps every day anyways.

If you absolutely want to do extra things you can read a grammar resource or something.

>来日し*てから
I actually tried to say something like "even during my visit", which I thought you use しかも for. what would be a better way to say it?

>did you use that app from Japan?
the app automatically identifies any phonecall you receive, so i just got two phonecalls while in japan that were automatically identified as "election spam"

>what about "shrouded", "melange" and "chagrin"?

Attached: y_depress.jpg (219x181, 20K)

Shroud and shrouded are commonish, everyone knows what it means. Never seen chagrin and melange.

"much to my chagrin" is a phrase I've seen written before but it's a lot less common than shrouded for sure

''Shrouded'' is almost exclusively used in set phrases like ''shrouded in mystery'', though.

You're shrouded in retardedness

清風明月

When's the last time you heard it used in casual speech/informal writing?

youtube.com/watch?v=xFhAZ6EOcLg

chagrin and melange are not particularly rare

>来日中ですら/さえ、俺にその電話が二回かかってきました

>多分いいえ(you meant "maybe not", so "そんなことは多分ない" fits in this context)。
>その電話を*票を入れそうな有権者だけに*かけるんです。俺はブサヨだし、いつも左翼*を*選ぶ(当選させる sounds more specific)町に住んでいるし、左翼党からメールや電話を受けます。
>22:00に出口調査が出*ますが、イスラエルで*は(or の instead of では)出口調査はよく*間違えます。実績*は08:00ごろに出*ます。

.Melange is not common usage.

日本のニュースでこのことに話していますか?実はここではニュースは日本の選挙のことに話しませんでした。。。

Attached: caliborn cute.png (355x342, 34K)

speaking of which, I just now remembered that Japanese anons in Japanese thread had argued with one another about whether "鹵" is commonly used in Japanese or not.

just so you know, I've seen the kanji used in Japanese several times such as "戦車を鹵獲する"

Attached: 1508326822377.jpg (795x946, 322K)

Jisho has only 鹵獲 and 鹵獲品

I rwhat about 鹵簿 and 鹵石?

Oh yeah, I was only looking at the page for the kanji itself. That's still not much.

What does それがまた mean here? "Furthermore"?

yeah, "鹵" is almost used with "獲" as far as I know.

>鹵簿 and 鹵石
this is the first time that I've seen those words in my life.
you must be more acquainted with the Japanese language than me.

>useful

I have no idea why I typed useful instead of helpful

Both are correct

thanks.
>Both are correct
I was under the wrong impression that there were the different meanings between "useful" and "helpful"

Attached: yuruyuri-akarin-smile.png (696x720, 234K)

no, I just put the kanji in a dictionary and copied what I found. They seem very obscure

また is expressing speaker's surprise here I think.
It's basically
>それが、どうして鎌田を辞めてウチに応募を?
>So, why (on earth, また) did it happen to be resigning Kamata and applying for our job?

They have (slightly) different meanings, but both apply here. His corrections are of use to you (as in, you can use them) because they help you improve your English.

I see. I've never seen such usage before.
Thanks.

Another question:
>『病気持ちとか、そういうネガティブな嘘はつかないこと。 それならまだ正直に“リストラされました”の方がマシ!』
それなら kinda strikes me as odd. I'm guessing it's referring to the previous line, not the sentence with つかないこと?

it means 嘘をつくくらいなら正直に“リストラされました”と言った方がマシ

youtube.com/watch?v=8ofmqCqcpeg

>たべれる
it's supposed to be たべられる, right? Is this a common child mistake?

Maybe if you read a grammar guide once in your life you'd know

I don't think that makes any sense. 嘘をつかないこと is a command here.

not seeing the issue

Guess you don't understand why it feels weird to have a conditional directly following an imperative.
It seems the Japanese user went to sleep, unfortunately.

>嘘をつくくらいなら
It doesn't mean "if you tell a lie".
It can also be 嘘をつくくらいなら寧ろ
So It's like ...
you would better say that you were fired rather than you tell a lie.
