Yeah, the Japanese largely promote their country through games/anime not traditional culture, but the tourism agencies in Japan know this is where the money is so thats what they choose to promote. Particularly pokemon/nintendo is promoted.

Korea has lots of culture, it’s illustrated by video games and Koop. It’s easily digestible and readily available to the west because the west heavily influenced them. Same with Japan, the connection to western development allowed them to produce culture/media that was receptive to western audiences. Countries like China, nk, Vietnam also produce culture, but it’s. it tailored for western audiences so western people won’t necessarily find it easily or palatable.

Japanese have very unique types of clothing, festivals and traditions that are upheld everywhere in japan.
Not only that but those traditions also make sense. They are not just there so that people can have fun.
They are meant to achieve a certain goal.
Chinese or Korean culture on the other hand are mostly traditions that simply lost their original purpose. Meaning they are largely redundant.

All """their""" "culture" is actually an adopted Ainu culture while japans themselves are nothing but island chinkoids. Ainu themselves are gone extinct on japan islands (thnx to japs) so all this culture is considered japan now.
