lol, I was going to say that Taxes would be much lower in America, because Denmark has some of the highest taxes in the world, but apparently Greenland makes its own tax policy. The highest income tax in Greenland matches California, but the Sales Tax is slightly bigger than any American Sales Tax. They also have a system of tax deductions that I just can't figure out.
As far as I can tell Denmark is basically paying Greenland to be part of their country while being fairly autonomous.
It's fine though because if there ever was a serious security threat on either side of the atlantic to america, we'd just "occupy" it, an easy task given that we already have a military base there.

Living in Alaska is not very nice unless you have a) a pilot's license, b) a fueled plane, and c) a job which means you can afford to get both. There are no roads anywhere and the only high paying jobs are in Anchorage, and Anchorage is a shithole, even by American standards.
