Why everybody gets either Sicily or Campania under the recent Italian ancestors locations?

They are based on self-reported birthplaces, not on actual dna
Even when it comes to how the ethnicity estimates are generated, Ancestry is way more accurate

Ancestry narrowing down your Iberian into either Spanish, Portuguese or Basque is a just a far-fetched highly speculative fugazi, there's Native Americans scoring hefty Scandinavian digits in that test, doesn't happen with 23andMe

Most Italian Americans came from Southern Europe, this is well documented.

my dads 23andme results are almost exactly what youd expect given his family tree and calculating the percentages yourself assuming 50/50 from each parent so i dont think it is that bad. there is a little random .5% that bounces around from unassigned to native to euro etc but it isnt a big deal
