Most of Paris isn't ghetto lol, it's one of the most expensive cities in the word. The ghetto parts are in the suburbs

virtually all of paris is gentrified now, even the traditionally popular areas. There are a few sketchy places in the north, but on the whole the city is much less dangerous than it was 20 years ago.

Ironically enough, the champs-elysée is a hotspot for young suburb people to party on the weekend, so it's an area i would avoid. It's also devoid of any kind interest if you don't want to buy an expensive bag, and even if it were the case, there are many better places to throw away you money if you have too much.

Like most of Jow Forums has ever been there... Paris is beautiful, just a bit of trash here and there, but that's normal for a city its size.

Anyone who 'hates' paris on Jow Forums hates it because of brown people, but if you go tourist areas there are no more or less than any other major city. The REAL reason to dislike Paris are that the locals are unwelcoming, but that couldn't come as a shock to anyone. Its still very pretty and theres lots of nice stuff to do even though some areas are grim, just like literally any world capital

Well there are indians, asians also...french do not really intermingle with them unless they make business with them, but i'd say that's rare. It's not that they hate them, more like there's a cultural gap that prevents french to mix with them, but also the others. Asians, for example, rarely talk to french unless they really have to. They mind their business and keep to themselves.

I've been a couple of times and I've stayed in different areas, compared to London there is absolutely nothing. There are plenty of north african ones, then the odd sushi place and then that's it. Very odd. Not saying there aren't foreign restaurants at all but they aren't all over the place like london, so they can't be too popular. There are waaaay more French ones than anything else

We have more chains but that's not the whole story at all, all the 'weird' cuisines are run by locals just like in Paris. There are no indian chains or anything, I think the only big chains are for rubbish italian food, and the mexican ones are usually not run by actual mexicans. Certainly lots of lunch places in the centre are chains though you're right there

even a basic beer and sandwich in a brasserie is like 15-20 euros easily, and a real meal for 2 is easily 100euros in central districts, even here in the 20th restaurant it's like 50euro

Money is too good with that. Once in a while, they ask some big company to re-do some big works just so that people think they're changing something. It's not better, it's just different.

there is a huge asian area in Paris, with a very interesting history dating back to the late XIXth century.
In my experience Vietnamese and former colonies integrate well (they do face racism, but not quite as hard as black and arabs), while chinese communities tend to stay amongst themselves. But i'm not an expert.
