I am really interested in this city.
The city name literally means the lords of the East, the gate of eastern country.
In next decade this city will be developed and one of biggest cities in the world.
The Japanese girls are visiting this city so often than used to be.
Russians please enlighten me how attract this city is, plus history and culture.

You guys are out of date men.
Normies want money thereforee normies are moving to this city a lot. You are leaving behind the trend. eternal losers.
Listen Russian user the locals of this city is becomming the richest Russian in next few years.
Putin knows better economics than you people.
The largest shopping and entertainment center in the Russian Far East was opened in Vladivostok
what do you want to know?
it's a relatively young city that was founded in the 19th century, was a major naval base of the russian empire, was briefly a capital of far eastern republic during the russian civil war after the october revolution, during that period there were american, japanese etc troops there, it fell to commies among the latest in the early 20ss (the statue on its central square commemorates pro-red guerillas that took the city) and remained relatively free till the 30ss, it was a soviet naval base for a while and it was restricted who might enter it, nowadays it competes with khabarovsk to be the capital of the russian far east
>what do you want to know?
I want to know how active Russian investors are about.
found in the 19th
Was not there native people living there?
Who were the native tribes of that city?
What are the tourist attractions, etc.
Maybe this will be interesting to you, Russian city on one side of the river, Chinese city on the other.
Thanks for the tips, american user.
This city surely attracts chinese people as well.
If you do not trust me, type and search ウラジオストク in YT videos.
All those videos are uploaded within one year.
It really is an amazing city. I mean it's eastern europe in the fucking far east how cool is that
Can you give us an actual link desu ?
This
This city where we only fly over only 2 hours to feel western ambience.
THis city has everything we want to access to Europe.
Really? I would think Russia is too poor and shitty to feel like true Europe
For most normie Asians like me, we do not know what is about real europe.
For us like ambience they built western style achtecture and food culture that things we feel about europe that is reality tob honest
For the most part yes but Vladivostok definitely has the "eastern bloc" vibes trust me
Russky Bridge is the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world, which is pretty cool.
I also read somewhere that Vladivostok is the closest port to the Equator that freezes in winter, so they need ice-breakers. Their yearly average high temperature is lower than the average low temperature in my hometown, which lies around the same latitude and even a bit more to the north!
>For most normie Asians like me, we do not know what is about real europe.
define whats "real" europe for you
Visit Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to enjoy European culture. It's closer!
That means infrastructure is getting built, like everywhere thanks to raising economy. Also thank for article.
really it is? i didn't know
it's not that long
took the pic recently
also yeah the russian far east is pretty cold because it gets all the cold currents and no warm ones like those that warm europe and japan
does anybody go swim in there?
No problems, I hope Russia develop with asia together.
>4 hour drive from Korea
wtf
More pic like this pls
North Korea, i.e. nobody from SK is going to be driving there
I don't know much about investors,sorry
i suppose it's somewhat perspective place because it looks like it wins khabarovsk as the russian far eastern capital i.e. as a major hub
the land was sparesly populated by chinese and some native people, but those natives always were very rare unlike in say yakutia or even kamchatka
there are some stuff to watch there but tourism is only developing yet
the water is 19c right now, the swim season (june - september) is ending
but don't forget it's on the same latitude as the southern coast of france
>Was not there native people living there?
I haven't seen a single native here. Mostly Russians.
As for attraction I can't name something essential yet there's alot of minor points of interests, maybe you'll even like ex Russo-Japanese war fortifications.
You can watch videos like that and pick something you'd like to see.
youtu.be
Nice pic. Looks comfy.
>en.wikipedia.org
Last time I took a flight on Asiana they were running a tourism feature on Yuzno-Sakhalisnk and playing up the 10% or whatever Russo-Koreans on the island. I doubt visitors from Seoul would be impressed.
I have heard the shortage of accomodation is a issue due to rapid attention. The investors are now focus on it, then they will invest more wide coverage, with many other european and american companies and american. I hope the city is not too much infected American culture becase it is going to be boring to see American fast food restaurants everywhere.
well, burgers came there in the 90ss, the original cafe that sold them ran out of business and closed but vladivostok got burger king and kfc instead
it's inevitable, i was to japan and i seen a plenty of anerican fast food restaurants there
>i was to japan and i seen a plenty of anerican fast food restaurants there
year that's why I am saying it to you. Our big cities are full of them, it is pity and sad that we lose our culture, small shops. We used to have like kissaten ( coffee shop) culture we could make feel comfortable but now it is swollowed by american giant firm like Statbucks. It is sad.
+15
I hope to get there once in my life.
>2ch
Cъeби тyдa, yeбищe бoльнoe.
why is int obsessed with this shitty city where everyone drives shitty imported chinkcars that have their wheel on the wrong side
i see nobody is obsessed with lisbon for example
>blinchik
Cringe
pashoy v zhopu schluchin sin
Because russiaboos + exotic location, see also Norilsk, Yakutsk etc
I don't know about Japanese girls but I saw a lot Korean girls who visit Vladivostok.
Etc
>average chinamen richer than me
jeez what have i become
never ever dare to neet
Why so toxic? Your mom scolded you today?
japanese girls visit it too but probably rarely
there's also a lot of chinese girls but chinese tourists are everywhere nowadays
I only saw Nips in my Uni, they were "education in Japan promouters". I even had to be EN-RU volunteer-translator for a while. They were nice and gifted me some Japanese goods in return.
Err, no? To be fairly honest, of all, clearly, nobody gives a fuck, I repeat, nobody, swear on that, cares of our relationships or interractions with asian tourists, ant this shithole town of fucking wastes either, nobody stops you from visiting it, although don't cry about fucked up infrastructure and achitecture, it's your decision.
I have seen few japanese girls on the ferry this monday, they definitely visit it from time to time
Ah, your words - into God's ears.
But I really doubt there would be a significant economic improvement.
Perhaps, just a little bit.
Go outside user, it is been introduced in Japanese media as well. Russians like you do not like Asians are of course not care about it.

Unrelated question. Can you please tell - could you afford a used cheap car within a single average salary in Japan?
I wasn't saying that I don't like anyone, do whatever you please, I just said that I consider tourism to my country quite cringeworthy, well except for chinks maybe, their behaviour is outrageous sometimes.
I still don't understand that phenomenon of shating chink, why are they doing that? It's like the worst kind of boozed bydlo multiplied to 10.
The second hand cars in Japan are really cheap if you do not dream to have laxuary ones.
The costs you need to pay are taxes $1000 bucks a year, provate insurance $500 -10000
and compulsory 2 years inspection fees. If you save money it is quite affordable for cheap salary men. Many companies here offer you transportation costs in your salary.
My main concern is NHK ignore Vladivostok in weather forecasts.
NOTICE ME SENPAI.
We are kind of genuine tourists unlike chinese, we just go there take pictures, eat local foods and come back.
>Зaдyмывaтьcя o пoкyпкe м*шины в 2К19.
Oкcтиcь, Bacя, этo ceйчac нe в тpeндe.
Wow, these are big taxes. Thanks for your answer and have a good day.
Then as I mention already, there's nothing to eat or see, literal shithole with, maybe, wery few fairly decent places, and some junkfood joints.
History of Vladivostok consisted of basically nothing other than that it was Qing land but used to get sea cucumbers only but Russians got it in a war and actually made it into a port because they had no good ports anyways
Somehow those Chinese, Korean and others gathered there and it developed better than what the Muscovites assumed
Gosh, just how self-hating you must be... Or perhaps some complexes..
The chinese tourists might not know about manner but they are high end consumers and spend many money comapred to other asians.
I think the chinese tourist's manner is getting improved today.
>Chinese, Korean and others gathered there
There are barely any Asians there.
They don't live there, and it also applies to Muscovites too, they also don't live there
It's a city of mutts
>it's a city of mutts
only if you call russian-ukrainian hybrids mutts
Culture is made by gathering people. do not forget about it. This city will have it for sure.
>Muscovites
Muscovites live in Moscow you mong, that's why they're called Moscovites.
> city of mutts
Most people living there are white Europeans.
Just check the videos itt.
Just recently saw webm with Chinese grandma doing her deeds in a public bus with shocked Russian bussdriver comments, it was kinda fun though.
There's some Asians, but Chinese and Koreans mostly. Also some ex-USSR asians of all kind from Georgians to Uzbeks. But population is mostly Russian.
And there's no such thing as Muscovites and Mutts in Russia. Choose one, because all Russians is identic on it's whole territory thanks to Soviet Union resettlement projects.
it was identical before the soviet union too
the russian far east was settled by russians and ukrainians since back in the 19th century
What about Yakutians ?
What about them?
That palace doesn’t look quintessential European...
A single decent place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (no offence)
Close to less than 2 hours by direct flight from Japan.
A town with a history and taste different from the Western countries of France and Italy.
The catchphrase “Europe is the closest to Japan” attracts attention especially for female travelers.
they live in yakutia, far away from primorye
There're tons of Korean and Chinese tourist in the downtown.
That place was discovered during end of Crimean War by Anglo-French squadron. They located in Hakodate and looked for Russian ships in Manchuria. They named some bays and shit (Empress Eugénie Archipelago still has name gave by them (in honor of wife of Napoleon 3)). They catch a French man who lived among locals (There were two Frenchmen who looked for gold. One returned to Peking and one stayed with locals or was enslaved by them idk).
So long story short that place was granted by Manchu emperor to Russia (1860). Chinese people weren't allowed to live in Dongbei until 1850s so there were only Tungus locals/
Um, yeah, There was a French expedition but they stop at Posyet Bay or Slavyanka Bay and name a bay after their commander.
Then Russian came on a ship named "Mandzhur" (Manchu) and built a fort here in Vladivostok.
After Chinese-Soviet border conflict almost all pre-Russian geo names were changed in this region. i.e.: popular here beach Shamora is Lazurnaya (azure) and a place near by Vladivostok was called Pachikheza (Sirenevka (Lilac plant) now). Slavyanka bay was Tulamu. etc.
implying anybody calls shamora -lazurnaya or chituvay - bay of musatov lol
I think I remember someone got butthurted that people still call it Shamora a long time ago.
Jow Forums meetup in Vladivostok?

youtube.com
can you translate some of the comments for me?
i'm really interested what jap. have to say about Vladivostok.
Google translate does not work well.
also, if you want to know more about Russia you should definetely follow Russia Plus, imo hands down the best and most objective insight into Russian cities on youtube.
the dude is currently in Vladivostok and is expected to release Vladivostok video in the following days.
based
the population of the region has been continously decreasing ever since the 1989 recession, the economic activities tend to be more devlopped around crimea these days, so much for the muh far east invasion meme
stay away takeshi
lel their whole country is a us military base so i dont believe they will annex anything for now
Do tourists visit Serbia? (serious question)
