What kind of third world country would do such a thing?

Australia for once

In Europe they were still common in the 80s

I'm not sure but I think I saw them not so many years ago.

I indeed can only speak for Germay and Croatia/Yugoslavia. I remember them from my childhood days during the 80s.

boomer

We do.
And they have two big pros:
They are cheaper than paper cubic packs and they are non-pasteurized, therefore short-term (it could be also con, but it depends whatever you want).

We used to but milk goes bad very quickly in these shits. Carton is much better.

Believe it or not many parts of Canada do. I think it's just the west and newfoundland where it isn't mainstream if I remember right

Gen X isn't boomers, it's the first generation that was fucked over by boomers.

What's the other 3%?

One company sold bagged milk for a short while here. I don’t understand how in any circumstance milk in a bag would be more practical than in milk in a bottle.

enjoy microplastics

The real sign of a first world country is having raw milk vending machines. Can you imagine there are “countries” which won’t let you buy pure, unpasteurised raw milk.

Hot
Not hot

It tastes so much better. It’s so much creamier and satisfying than the stuff at the shops.
