12.3 TPS

Pajeets are out in full force trying to pump and dump. The claim has been made several times the testnet is currently running 1.3 million tps on testnet as evidenced by this reddit post that I've also seen here on biz. Buyer beware.

and another round of pajeets who got called scammers by bitcointalkers AND plebbitors
just fuck off you discord monkeys

Here is lead dev confirming 12.3 tps. Team is legit. Shame these biztards are sullying the project with these antics.

Twu is a retard
This figure came as a result of a misunderstanding in the bitcointalk thread

And what is the block size today?

-twu never said anything about TPS.

>twu is a retard
>consistenly right dozens of times
>shills Snow at 6,000 sats
>gets called an indian
>Snow 5x's with $350,000 volume up from $1K
>still 2.5M marketcap

i for one, am glad i listened to him, yet again.

100x in 2020.

12.3 tps?

Isn't that bad?

explain it like I'm 5 years old.

where can i buy some snow?

only good high TPS coin is CS.

If you haven't properly read up then you aren't smart enough to buy it. Sorry no Snow for you!

You retards got JEETed on.
*dabs*

-twu

it's not that great
>Bitcoin transaction speeds. On average Bitcoin processes about 7 transactions per second, which makes it pretty slow compared to Ethereum (15) and Ripple (the fastest major cryptocurrency, at 1,500 per second). Visa does 24,000 transactions per second.

NO ONE CARES

What's the value prop if this is just marginally better than BTC when it comes to TPS? Smart contracts will only be used as check writing memos. Not some ETHesque dapp/ponzi machine. The developers stated as much on the slack and discord.

You guys are retards. We are here to make money. This shit just made my fucking year. Already cashed some profit and I am letting the rest ride. Do I care what it does? Trade, make money, move on.

caring about tps is so 2017

MacGyver5555 here
I like this project since it appears to solve a couple of issues. Major selling point is GREEN power efficiency (being IO bound, not CPU/GPU). I read the wiki and seems like made by a cool guy. Then checked his CV which is very impressive. Joined the discord to ask him about one of my concerns. Pic related.

Some issues I have is how this avoids centralzation. How does it matter if chinese groups accumulate ASICs or SSDs? That transcation speed sounds a bit low, but, but developer sounded confident in that it can be scaled a lot. There is also lots of companies promising bigger and cheaper SSDs in the future, which I think benefits the project (what do you think?).

Right now developer is making a website aimed at normies and looking for constructive critisism: app.snowblossom.info/about Please join the discord and help out!

Bonus info: a laptop with 256 GB nvme SSD can mine about 10 SNOW a month, which at current prices is about 20-25 USD. Not bad!

How convincing. Gonna buy a giant bag right now so you can dump the remainder of your bags on me.

I had a similar realization last night. Not being power efficiency is fucking key. It reminds me of what XRB attempted to do but ultimately failed.

It feels amazing to be connected to the dev directly of a Coin! World is smaller than you think.

Attached: snow.png (1163x196, 31K)

I agree, and I alike the coin. But I would still say it has a less than 0.1% chance of becoming meaningful as a usable currency (like any crypto). I mean, if the only difference between this and other alts is power efficiency, maybe decentralization, maybe scalability; is that really enough to make it where other alts havd failed? I hope, but it seems a bit unlikely. However, I really like the dev so far. And that its coded from ground up.

energy efficient user. let's look at venezuela. an entire population has no currency. introduce the likes of snow and now potentially everyone from a laptop to a smartphone will be able to mine and trade. It gives people the access to be truly own their own currency. Also another biggie is that there is no miner centralization, meaning China or some fucks in antartica can't control it. It has potential.
Thus / our coin /
Link -> Snow -> Holo

Only 1 out of 21 mill coins mined so far.
No premine done. Imaging mining 10 BTC in a month. Ground floor guys!

This is what most anons are missing. The world is huge and made up of many factions, nations and needs. There’s room for a better BTC even though it won’t be as widespread due to first mover advantage. People who need digital p2p cash/gold will use whatever option they deem best for their needs, some want more or less decentralization, some want more or less tps etc.

Fucking brainlets thinking this is an ERC-20 pnd.

where can I buy this shit?

stop comparing this shit to BTC faggot. it's never going to be $100B+ market cap.....never will it ever go anywhere near BTC. It's a shit coin like thousands of others. It's not BTC you fucking delusional cunts. Stop trying to sell is as muh next BTC

The discord pajeets are trying to swing this thread in their favor. Sorry user this is no better than all the BTC clones from 2013.

I've sold what I want to sell. So why your being a bitch I'm making money. Good job loser. That is why you'll always be a bitch, and poor

>introduce the likes of snow and now potentially everyone from a laptop to a smartphone will be able to mine and trade

It will require a 2TB SSD to mine. Laptop/smartphone mining is just a meme.

my critique of SNOW is that it will follow a similar path of BTC, it will reach a point where the incentive for individual miners will become obsolete. It's a long term hold, like any other crypto. I'm just investing 1btc max in the next months...

You are a retarded pajeet chink chicken pox kike. DYOR. 120gb SSD is all that is needed to start mining

>it's goingto be new btc sirs
So you need a second layer solution for transactions at some point. Thanks for being so straightforwadly honest, pajeet.

looks like its about to pamp again JUST

Hey guess what, this is the next BTC

clueless is not the dev, he's just noisy

the dev is not on discord

the discord is not official

that's not the dev

field 7 is 128GB and we're about to hit field 8, which is 256GB

look into arktika clusters if you want to pool smaller resources together

I've said this in another thread but will post again:

4 MB blocks
12 TPS
Their plan for scaling is simply to raise the blocksize
They are naive and think that voting will keep the coin growing for the future (democracy)
Their lead dev is an SJW
Their POW algorithm incentivizes miners to break the coin in order to win, while on the other hand Bitcoin POW incentivizes miners to make the coin stronger in order to win.

This coin is a dumpster fire
And a psyop

I almost fell for it, kek.

>Their POW algorithm incentivizes miners to break the coin in order to win, while on the other hand Bitcoin POW incentivizes miners to make the coin stronger in order to win.

Can you explain this? I dont get it.

snowblossom uses io based proof of work for asic resistance. it BTFO of specialized hardware by needing an expanding, massive amount of readily available storage, and relies on the IOPS of that storage. In theory, even millions of dollars in equipment would not be capable of delivering much faster storage or ram.

because miner centralization is less of an issue than other coins the block size can be safely adjusted and tps ramped up. you can’t mine on your phone but when checkpointing is in place you will be able to run a node on your phone using ~100mb, rather than 100gb+ like others

Read this: Then, read this:
With Bitcoin, the POW is designed such that it EXPECTS that there will be breakthroughs in technology that will make hashing easier and easier. It expects this and as this happens the difficulty goes higher and higher and the coin gets more secure.

On the other hand with SNOW, they set up their POW as a BET that IOPS will NOT have a breakthrough, that it will continue to be an unsolved problem.
As soon as they place this bet, and if the coin ever has even a modicum of value, someone will be incentivized to solve the IOPS issue (which actually is a good thing for humanity in general, but bad for the coin), they will end up becoming centralized just like Bitcoin is today, except for the fact that they do everything worse than bitcoin today.

This coin might be good for helping incentivize the solving of IOPS but it will never surpass a true Bitcoin.

there's plenty of incentive too solve IOPS right now and has been for some time. i don't see a coin needing a technological breakthrough to reach bitcoin levels of centralization as a negative, although some people will.

>but it will never surpass a true Bitcoin

agree

to solve*

I get it. Excellent point, giving me weak hands. However, even with IOPS breakthroughs, wouldnt increasing the size of the snowfields solve this? every snowfield increase doubles the difficulty, so the algorithm is designed to deal with exponential improvements in IOPS. No?

I think at this stage worrying about an IOPS breakthrough on this scale seems like worrying about a Qauntum Computer draining your BTC.

Guys said this about 0xBtc too or amoveo or arweave, ground floor, imagine mining 300 btc in a day, retards

It's a negative for what the coin presents itself as.
Bitcoin when it first launched was easily mine-able on any CPU - very decentralized.
But as it gained more value people were incentivized to find a way to develop ASICs and such.
All that centralization is, is the concentration of power in the hands of the capable.
This coin cannot avoid that forever.

That brings me to another point.
The way that this coin is set up, it burns through storage space like crazy just to keep the coin secure. If you have to keep bumping up the snowfield, you keep using up hard drive space for garbage data.
Bitcoin on the other hand has the incentives correct - hard drive space is saved for transactions and data (internet of things) and the POW relies on fast computations. Both are good things, but with SNOW it is reversed.

Quantum computers and genetic storage (or other crazy breakthroughs in storage systems) are coming.
Perhaps the idea of hard drives will be obsolete in the future.

Like I said earlier, Bitcoin is designed to be on the bleeding ege, and even helps to create it.
SNOW is designed to run away from the bleeding ege, and will get sliced in half by it.

But who knows, maybe i am wrong.

>genetic storage
Ok, you know a lot more than be about SNOW, but I happen to be a PhD in molecular biology, and while genetic storage is awesome for storing huge amounts of data its is extremely unlikely to have IOPS even close to silicon stuff. Storing on DNA is about stabillity, reproducibility, capacity, but absolutely not about IOPS.

true
my main point is that storage breakthroughs are coming

they are coming no doubt but i think we see incremental improvements in something like iops over time. if it's incremental they'd likely be available to the average joe, it's a general computing issue rather than an asic developed for one purpose. more likely that tech companies come up with breakthroughs rather than someone trying to mine snowblossom coins.

couldn't snow theoretically be on the bleeding edge so long as there is any delay in IOPS whatsoever?

I know you're fudding, but this would be a great argument to bring up with fireduck in the Slack

Someone will find a way to have storage and computation living on the same device/card/chip.
Something can be invented.

Never used slack before

>ASICs are a good thing

Only a retarded bitcoin maximalists can make this argument.

Holy shit. Selling everything now. Dont wanna be associated with people this stupid.

You made the right choice bro!
