What's the value prop if this is just marginally better than BTC when it comes to TPS? Smart contracts will only be used as check writing memos. Not some ETHesque dapp/ponzi machine. The developers stated as much on the slack and discord.

I like this project since it appears to solve a couple of issues. Major selling point is GREEN power efficiency (being IO bound, not CPU/GPU). I read the wiki and seems like made by a cool guy. Then checked his CV which is very impressive. Joined the discord to ask him about one of my concerns. Pic related.
Some issues I have is how this avoids centralzation. How does it matter if chinese groups accumulate ASICs or SSDs? That transcation speed sounds a bit low, but, but developer sounded confident in that it can be scaled a lot. There is also lots of companies promising bigger and cheaper SSDs in the future, which I think benefits the project (what do you think?).

Bonus info: a laptop with 256 GB nvme SSD can mine about 10 SNOW a month, which at current prices is about 20-25 USD. Not bad!
