Hypothetically, if ETH were to get BTFO, would Chainlink be doomed? Similarly, if we end up getting all major adoptions and LINK goes to the moon, would ETH follow suit?
In other words, just how much are the destinies of these 2 projects intertwined?
Yeah it doesn't make sense, basically you have to have faith in that link and eth are backed up by silicon valley under the bed and one day they will show up with firecrackers and you will get rich
Bentley Young
>AGNOSTIC Why not ATHEIST?
Gavin Moore
>Muh whitelabel All of you that think Chainlink will be used as a (((whitelabel))) are deluded. Why would the financial and technology industries invest funds into a simple json parser and slap a new name on it, when they can have their dev team set one up in under an hour? Chainlink is a failed project. The only thing the Chainlink team did correctly was identify the oracle problem, but their solution is unorthodox and unreliable. If one node goes down, they all go down. Not to mention the flaws that have recently been discovered with GoLang. Chainlink is an insecure, invalidated, and expensive solution to an easy-to-fix problem. Anyone with a background in software development can tell you how easy it would be to create a simple middle ware platform in Java. If a first year CS student can do it, then slave-pay tier Pajeets can do it too. You faggots aren't going to the moon. You're not the crew of Apollo 11. You're the crew of Apollo 13, and you mother fuckers just stirred the tanks.
Nicholas Nelson
Holy shit the amount of newfags is getting overwhelming...OP did you even read the whitepaper ONCE?
Jose Sanders
I think stinky linkies really need to look into what is happening with BCH right now. (btw I am a stinky linky) CSW and nChain may have built a version of BTC that has a working oracle within it. No need for outside oracles. Now, forget about CSW and all the drama and consider that if it can be done it will be done. BTC (the real one) could very realistically implement its own oracle thereby rendering LINK worthless.
Bentley Russell
Eth is gonna be just fine, but it wont see the widespread adoption link will.
>block chain agnostic sure buddy, if the contract is gone you're broke.
Adrian Myers
Ewwww
Alexander Morales
Can the BTC internal oracle provide smart contracts and off-chain data though? Or are they just on-chain oracles like all the others?
Liam Thompson
fuck off retard, major players are bulding their own dlt platforms with Microsoft, and hyperledger, the ones who don't will use eth, they don't care to use ur ghey ass bitcones. Link will be their gateway to their own systems.
Nolan Gray
>how easy it would be to create a simple middle ware platform in Java. If a first year CS student can do it, then slave-pay tier Pajeets can do it too And still nobody has done it. Also what is wrong with golang, everything fine as far as I know
Grayson Gonzalez
>Can the BTC internal oracle provide smart contracts and off-chain data though? Yes! Look up the proposed changes for the BCH hard fork. Look up both sides changes and then check out nChain. ?
Evan Campbell
honestly, look at your own post. >major players are building their own platforms >but they will use my shitter ERC token on the ethereum network
What doesn't add up?
Sebastian Mitchell
LINK is valuable because it can work with hyperledger.
Julian Gonzalez
legacy enterprise is not gonna rely on bitcones and their internal oracle, they don't care for the currency usecase, they care about cost savings and efficiencies gained from dlt and smartcontracts. They are building their own enterprise platforms and partnering with other legacy enterprise orgs to do the same, the will not dump all the private investments they made into those ends for the last 4 years cus fake satoshi built an oracle for btc.
Hudson Long
trustless decentralized middleware backed by swift and is blockchain agnostic, your retardation is potato tier
Juan Scott
>nobody uses bitcoin or altcoins after 10 years but hey, guys, guys, major money will come into the coin i'm emotionally invested in.
Linkbrainlets should just fucking gas themselves already
Carson Myers
So your telling they just started? Yeah im really worried about it lmfao when link is 5+ years ahead, nice fud..a lot better then the low teir fud thats been going around...you guys are literally being played by some old white boomer dude good luck with that
what do you mean by ETH getting BTFO? as in losing price?
its irrelevant. ETH may be the backbone but the value is what comes of it, and if Chainlink turns out to be the one use that people actually adopt then it'll be the driving force.
We could see $10 ETH and $100 LINK as an example (not these numbers, just to say ETH could be worth less than LINK token-for-token)
Isaiah Ross
come on anons, come clean, how manky stinks do u own? no way ur are unironically this stupid and can still log on to the internet.
Ethan Johnson
Kaleido just cemented the utility of ETH for a new age of innovation, even if everyone uses their own private chains. Complementary goods despite being link being chain agnostic. $2500 EOY
yeah, and 1.5 years later it's stil at 0.54$ so we are right for over a fucking year
>inb4 oh this market, should've seen that coming
Jason Sanders
Close your eyes, try to clear any thoughts you are having Take long, slow, deep breathes and put all your focus and attention onto your breathing iiiiiiiinnnn.................... ooooooooooooouuuut
good. Do this for a few minutes, then - VISUALIZE yourself becoming rich through your LINK investment ANTICIPATE the things you will buy with your new found abundance of wealth IMAGINE as though it is all happening now in the present moment, for the present moment is all that truly exists MOST IMPORTANTLY FEEL the way you will FEEL when that moment comes and you make it! FEELING THE EMOTION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN JUST VISUALIZING THE IMAGES!
Now open your eyes, look in a mirror, and recite these affirmations (use/add your own that is relevant to the reality you want to create once you make it) I AM RICH I AM WEALTHY I AM A MILLIONAIRE LINK HAS GIVEN ME INFINITE ABUNDANCE It's important to do this when you wake up and before you go to bed, but do it as often as possible. Also hold the image and idea of us making it and LINK being worth $1,000 or more in your mind as you fall to sleep.
WHEN WE DO THIS COLLECTIVELY MY LINK BROTHERS, THE UNIVERSE WILL SEE TO IT THAT CERTAIN EVENTS, PEOPLE AND CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ALIGN AND BE ATTRACTED TO US - THAT WILL ALLOW OUR DESIRE TO MANIFEST INTO REALITY! I love you all
Julian Long
it seems our superiority has led to some controversy
>because every single negative discussion has been debunked Can you imagine talking to someone about... say Climate Change and getting this response for them? Or maybe socialism? Or capitalism? Or literally fucking anything?
>Hey what do you think about- >SHUT THE FUCK UP EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DECIDED ALREADY
Joshua Nguyen
>SHUT THE FUCK UP EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DECIDED ALREADY
I think this is it right here. I too bought my first BTC in 2012. These new linkies are just that.... new. They've chosen to die on this LINK hill and for what reason? Gets? Holy fuck just look at the drop in Jow Forums users over the year. You're being abandoned by the very people who were supposed to give you the comfort of the crowd. Fucking sad.
THANK YOU! This is my entire point. You picked the wrong cult because you are new. If you would have been around crypto 5 years ago you would feel the same about BTC that you feel about LINK. But you missed it. Your brain thinks owning something valued at 50 cents is better than owning something valued at $5,500. You can't comprehend the idea of buying sats. It's just too complicated for your brain.
So you see LINK, it's cheap, and... GROUP CONFIRMATION BIAS!
Owen Rivera
plebbit is awaiting your return, my lord, dont forget to tip ur hat on the way out.
Enterprise wants nothing to do with bitcoin or any of its forks. The only people that still care about BTC are December bagholders and a handful of hardcore libertarian neckbeards on this board and Reddit. Everyone else already figured out it's a ponzi with no real value.
Angel Lee
Honestly, i actually think most people who own link are pretty new to crypto, 2017 at earliest. We both know that biz isn't the same it's used to be. And i think it's just the new guys hoping to get rich on their coin. Which 50% doesn't even understand properly.
Xavier King
It's pasta. There is nothing wrong with Go.
Blake Stewart
Holy shit. Are you the people I'm trading against? Nice.
Thanks, point proven. End of discussion. Goodnight literal kid
Nathan Edwards
BTC is a failed experiment. It's been 10 years and all you can do with it is trade on bitmex and buy drugs on the internet while consuming as much electricity as a small country. Blockchain is here to stay, bitcoin is not.
any blockchain coin failed, none is being used, banks just implement their own software now. Same will happen to LINK
Juan Young
Prior to DEVCON I would have said it would be an issue. Now it looks like Chainlink is going to steamroll ahead regardless.
Justin Ross
>akshually literally >End of discussion >goodnight
god you are on heluva unironic fageeto
once link make adoption a real thing can I donate link to your favorite trans people of color charity to live stream you an heroing?
Kevin Walker
go to bed you have school tomorrow
Oliver Collins
Do you not understand that LINK is not tied to ETH? It can be used on other platforms. That's what it's designed to do. No one trying to FUD has any idea what the fuck they're talking about.
Adrian Ward
Sure, if the mainnet is launched. Which it hasn't for over a year now.
If your contract is gone tomorrow, you're poor. So yes, it's linked to ETH.
Samuel Brooks
bought 2 bitcoin in 2013 and bought $1000 of XRP when it launched. Here's my signup email. Currently all in link. You're not a special oldfag snowflake.
Link IS blockchain agnostic BUT how would you transact link if eth stops existing... So they are kinda coorelated...
Grayson Campbell
nor does being interested in crypto in 2013 or earlier mean anything. I doubt you even were if you don't realize there was just as much mainstream hype then as there was in 2017
Elijah Reyes
You are partially correct. Nobody is using these gay public chains run by "masternodes" or whatever the fuck. They are using IBM and other BaaS to create private chains and chainlink will be the oracle solution to feed 3rd party data to these chains in a trustless fashion. Banks (Swift, specifically) will use chainlink + private DLT.
Cameron Reyes
>kinda coorelated
FUG ME THIS THREAD IS HILARIOUS.
WE ARE ALL GONNA MAKE IT WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!!!
EXCEPT YOU FAGGY NOLINKERS, CANT WAIT TO WATCH YOU KNECK URSELVES.
There was hype. But 2017 hype was on a different level. Normies and retards got in
Benjamin Myers
1) it would never just "stop existing" that's retarded 2) fork the token to Stellar or another faster chain. Most of the work is done off chain anyway the token is only a small part of the equation.
Lucas Moore
Congrats. May I ask how and why you decided to buy XRP that early.
Nolan Carter
>I BET YOU DIDNT BUY IN WHEN I CLAIM I DID >SO WHAT IF YOU BOUGHT IN WHEN I SAID IT MATTERS, IT DOESNT MATTER
Honestly, if someone at swift just googled chainlink i think they'll nope the fuck out because of the memes.
And do you have proof of that?
David Sullivan
in sirgay we trust
Blake Ward
>So your telling they just started? Yeah im really worried about it lmfao when link is 5+ years ahead
5 years time and they've not even managed to shit out mainnet. Tells you something about their competence.
Jack Roberts
Thanks just sold 1,000,000 link
Brody Moore
This pasta is getting stale
Camden Reed
this
Elijah Morgan
Checked. I am concerned about that as well. Swift has been plastered all over SmartContract.com for a year now. There is no reason for them to officially announce they are using it but I can't imagine any scenario where they would let them use their logo if they weren't.
Isaac James
You can't just implement an entire network of independently operated oracles brainlet. More likely banks will run their own oracles in the chainlink network.
Brody Butler
I think it speaks volume when a good majority of people on here hold 10k+ LINK some even with 100k+ LINK. If you visit /biz often you should at least have some LINK and lets wait n see if we can make some decent money, Some will maybe be millionaires, others will not but will still be comfy. Why be so negative and try to rile people up? I thought we were all frens here?
How do you prove ownership or swap existing tokens if network is ogre?
Jeremiah Phillips
>an oracle bruh
Hunter Thompson
You realize the vast majority of people(which hold less than 5k link) will sell all the way up to $5(highly unlikely it will even reach that) due to the extreme volatility of the market let alone this shitcoin
>much decentralization It's a meme. You never see a discussion of the tech on /g and there is a reason for that
