Corda is a blockchain not a middleware.
It doesn't provide smart contracts just the ability to transfer currency and could host smart contracts if the right middle ware was applied.
So, this is unironically bullish for LINK?

They're (Corda R3) using XRP and SWIFT for payment finality.
They said there's little demand for crypto (XRP), so they wanted to integrate with fiat (SWIFT).
ChainLink is a middleware for smart contracts.
ELI5: if Corda wants to run their smart contracts based off external events, they can do so with their permissioned oracles.
If they want their R3 contracts (Cordapps) to have functionality with trustless/decentralized systems, they (should) want to use a middleware that shares the trustless nature.
