Create you own projects, this is what I do and make bank from them.
Get into machine learning, statistical analysis etc, use C for performance.

I do work on many personal projects, but they are mostly game engines (which I plan to use for selling some games). What sort of projects do you work on with machine learning and statistics?

Freelancing is just wagecucking withtout any of the benefits. You'd be retarded to do it unless you're paid significantly more, which is true for some contractors. You're still working for someone else at the end of the day.

The only way to escape this is to start your own company. But C isn't exactly really for the kind of software startups that are exciting these days - it's mostly an implementation details for something industrial or embedded. What you work on might give you ideas. You need at least one or two partners realistically, preferably in the field you'd be applying C to.

I have spent the last decade becoming less and less physically capable while browsing chans exclusively. I make no money and I am almost 30 years, I have no skills and my friends don't exist any more I only browse every single day.
