>be me
>working my first job, entry level
>don't mind coming into office, but actual work is sucking my soul
>two years of this and I have yet to use a single skill I learned in college
>feel myself becoming retarded, cannot remember even a quarter of the math and physics I used to be able to pull out of my ass
>ask to join processing team
>"user we need you to fill the role we hired you for"
>ask to take on some other departments' work on the side to differentiate my tasks
>"user I'm not going to let you take and do other people's work"
>get pissed
>start job hunting
>since I spent two years not using m more complex skills nobody cares about them
>all I can manage are interviews for the same things I do now at a different company.
Get me a rope. Should've bought memecoins.
How do you break out of the wage slave cycle?
It’s never too late to buy chainlink sir
How do you know my life?
is this asian?
here's what happened to me
>no degree
>work series of shit jobs
>sleeping out of my car
>do CDL shit for a while
>super passionate about programming
>get laid off
>unemployed for a year
>trying to get programming job
>finally get programming job
>slowly start to hate programming
>doesn't even pay that well
>start sleeping out of my car again to save money
>have mental breakdown
>quit job
>now am trying to become self-employed
I'll die before I go back.
Nothing good has come of waging for me. Just endless struggling and suffering. What's even the fucking point. I might as well become a welfare leech.
When there is no reward, your brain shuts down and you stop wanting to do anything.
The work = reward system is broken.
How do I collect unemployment?
>Lose your job through no fault of your ownorquit for good cause related to the work or the employer
What's a good cause? I got my hours cut and I really just want to nig it up.
Bump
generally the people who give you this advice are boomers.
I'll give you some insight. The people who gave you this advice had a trade, and something that could be used to start a business.
For example, an electrician or a welder.
>have gear
>have clientele
>start business
profit
lol. i've snapped and quit programming jobs twice because i hated it so much. now i'm trying to work at google. i'll probably snap again in a year or two.
why do bosses get so angry or passive aggressive when you can't work due to illness? i'm never late, do better work than 95% of my coworkers and almost never call out, but when i do they act like you just fucked them over. maybe it's because i've only worked shit-tier jobs, is it better if you have a "good" office job? shit like this is why i cant wait to escape the fucking rat race. fuck normies and fuck wage slavery
