>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Just want to say thank you to the anons here. Before coming to /smg/, I was a clueless beta indexfag who just passively invested every month. But now I'm 100% cash and drawing arrows, connecting dots, and going to make it big. We're all in this together bros.
Honestly i'm getting to a point where i think i would be better off just betting for or against the indices with leverage. Going 2x long or short on the Nasdaq outperformed my individual stocks combined last year. Bigger gains on the individuals but also commonly took losses on earnings jukes with gap downs (fuck you GOOS).
Ummmm sweetie... did you really think we were going to up tomorrow? Ummm no booboo, not happening, sorry sweetie. Is the wage cage getting tight? :-))) it's so cute when you get frustrated

Last post of the day. The moment has arrived. The audits are done and version 1.0 is being delivered. The gate to adoption has been opened and one will get the first glance of the plumbing of web3.0. The confidence will make sense in hindsight as the hard work is complete, enterprise is in. March will not only awaken the crypto community but raise eyebrows in the enterprise. Welcome to the 4ir, talk to you in Aprillllllllllll
Hahaha you coping retard lol I don’t own any crypto at all. Crypto is a distraction and a test run for a one world currency by the elites. >buy le spy lol mommy look it rhymes XDDDDD !!!
somethings about to happen. flat spasdaq futures is spooky.
Levi Price
Going 2X long on the general stock market is actually optimized for the long-term. If you held SPY or DJIA since 1920 or 1950, you would get the highest returns over several decades through 2X leverage rather than 1X or 3X.

>is cu ckoin or idicks the better exchange? Take your pick
Why though? Imo Crypto currency is the future.. may take awhile but the idea of limited supply for a currency makes sense.. even if one person were to hoard it it'll make the remainder go up in value due to the lack of supply..

did the levered funds go belly up in 2008 though?

Someone explain to me why futures is fucking negative .5% for the dow?
Also I need a job but am nervous as fuck. Do I need a resume if I’m applying to a job that pays 10 dollars?
>Also I need a job but am nervous as fuck. Do I need a resume if I’m applying to a job that pays 10 dollars? As long as you can keep it together long enough to pass an interview or two, you'll be hired. Know the company and how they relate to you personally (even if it's a fast food joint, you picked them over another for a reason, right?), talk about wanting to work as a team, all the normal shit. Be honest about the hours you want to work. If you have a gap in your employment history, say you were dealing with private matters (family works wonders for making you look good) even if that's a lie. If you're young and never had a job before, say you think this would be a good environment to start your history.
Be able to string two sentences together, look normal, don't smell. You will be hired by someone, eventually.

Levered funds are pure cancer. This is why Vanguard doesn't even offer them anymore. Only a gambling moron would buy them.

I am considering going with VTSAX instead of the 6 fund (large growth, large value, mid growth, mid value, etc)
then a sprinkle of VTIAX so I can waste the rest of my money on options

You guys better short BA tomorrow. I want some Boeing cheapies.
>futures should be deep red idk we could be green today, sometimes making the big bois bullish

I think Warren Buffet is wrong. There is no proof the S&P 500 will continue to climb in the future look at the indices for Japan, China, Europe they are all down from their ath not just for the year but for the past five years
Xavier Hall
>Someone explain to me why futures is fucking negative .5% for the dow?
Boeing and their second crash of new 737 design. The DOW would be hovering around flat with the spasdaqs if not for that.
Jaxon Watson
The US stock market is such a phallic beast though. Either its fucking or getting fucked. We're never gonna be horizontal like the nikkei.
Carson Bennett
They definitely took a hit. They definitely did. However, the 2X performs better in the long run -- over multiple recessions and multiple decades.
>Levered funds are pure cancer. Wrong. >Only a gambling moron would buy them. Stay poor and stick to your dogma. This is backed by real data.

>Do I NEED a resume for an entry level job?
Imagine there's an exact copy of you applying for the same job. He has a resume. You do not. Who do you think will get hired?
Answer: probably both of you. They're desperate, and you'll be brought on as a "conditional" hire for your first 3 months or so of employment before you become a real employee, and in that time if they see that you come in late all the time, have a bad attitude, and really don't care about keeping your job, they can let you go without having to worry about a lawsuit.
But make a resume anyway. It may make you stand out in a good way. And don't stress out about it like I did. It's just a formality, I think they only looked at mine to see if there was anything they could talk to me about or if I had any relevant experience that would help them place me. I.E. if you have experience as a fry cook or selling electronics or using a register, then they'll probably put you somewhere doing those things.
Gambatte, user, and as soon as you're eligible for the 401K plan, which even retailers can have, make sure you max out your company match.

If you didn't buy REFR, now is the time
WOODBURY, NY, March 08, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Research Frontiers Inc. (Nasdaq: REFR) announced today that it will release its fourth quarter 2018 financial results at 4:00pm Eastern Time on Thursday, March 14, 2019. In conjunction with the announcement, the company will host a conference call at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, March 14, 2019 to discuss its 2018 financial and operating results as well as recent developments.
BA is a highly successful defence contractor that just so happens to own a crappy airplane business on the side (their airplane division has ALWAYS been their least profitable part of the company)
New 737's are an extremely small portion of their overall business, hell their entire airplane sales revinue is nowhere near 8% of their total business
This pullback is massively overblown, just like last time (down $35 the day of that air lion crash, up $40 2 days later)
This is a buying opportunity, or a good chance for BA shorts to close their bets (Assuming the entire market doesn't dive off of a cliff within the next month or so of course)
Leo Diaz
Wow you already own a share! Impressive. Post portfolio.
You really think for a second it's not pilot error?

Let me guess, you got a bigger portfolio eh? Or too much of a puss puss to do the same?
