I realize that we can't expect, or desire, everyone who invests in something to understand the architecture and technology behind it. I don't have much background in coding, in fact I work on cars.
I'm curious if anyone else feels the need to go deeper into the tech?? I still feel like it's early... I can explain the ledger and other facets of Bitcoin to people, but I feel like if I learn how to actually work with blockchain code I could get out of the body shop eventually. Or at least learn to better understand white papers and the tech behind each new shitcoin. I make great money, but I have to travel and that in itself takes a toll after a while. Anyone else unironically learning to code...... like this 30 year old boomer??
I used to teach myself C/C++ back in like 2003 when I was a teenager.
Then I stopped entirely and have worked in finance ever since graduating. Took gardening leave between jobs and taught myself Python / front end shit. Was fun. High level stuff is nowhere near as hard as you imagine, especially if you have a basic understanding of algorithms. Plus the difference between 2003 and now is that there are so many bloated memelibraries you can just copy and paste code form, hence why the industry is saturated with roasties and pajeets.

pajeet tier vocational advice. You've started at the right place.

> industry is saturated with roasties and pajeets this. Just learn trade. You have to be contrarian to make money

if you're not scamming people writing fake cheats when you're 14, you're not gonna make it in programming, sorry

>he didn't write real cheats >thinks he's gonna make it

I have a shakey background in math and never took calculus. It's a long story but essentially I always loved math and was good at it until algebra 2 in highschool the cheerleading coach was my teacher.. That cunt and I got into it every day because I would call her out for being the worst math teacher.. Which she was, I've heard this from her colleagues. Long story short I said fuck math after that because I didn't "have" to take more. That was a mistake. I went to University of Illinois and got a degree but it was in Environmental Science.. I ended up taking some engineering classes but really struggled with the math portions. I use Khan academy and some other online resources and believe I can learn calculus... I just wish I had done it before. fucking hindsight

Yea, I can see that... Why have such a frustrating "hobby".. Will I just throw myself out a window eventually??
