They did say in Telegram that it's a possibility. They want as many people to own CHX and be aware of how to do the token swap, so if it takes more time, that's what they will do. All stated in their official telegram.

Well said. This is exactly what they're doing. Imagine if they were running a Kickstarter instead and tried this tactic. People would be crying for refunds right now. Fortunately you can ask for a refund in the form of market selling, although it's getting late for that with each passing day.
