we service easily 50 cars a week. I usually have 5 or 6 employees on staff, 3 mechanical lifts.
My advice is not to go into this fucking business. All of my profit walks out the door to our landlord, our parts supplier, to the IRS, and most importantly to the horribly corrupt NY state
I genuinely feel bad for my customers because we can't survive without charging double or even triple of what I could charge in a cheaper area like Texas

I wouldn't want to dox myself but we're in Nassau county, we charge $29.99 for a normal oil change and $10 extra per quart of synthetic
our oil change is designed to get the right people through the door so we can be nice to them and gain some trust, so that when you need a larger repair, we are he for you anytime you need it :)

yep, here's the answer guys... we're getting boned so bad and our customers too. they pay like 15000 a year in property tax
25k in property tax, 80k in sales tax, environmental regulations, licensing, income tax for all of our employees, red light cameras, horrible zoning laws prevent us from finding a cheaper place, cops are dicks
we dont dick people like that, come to us when your oil or coolant have thrown up all over the ground and we'll be happy to fix for a non rape price
