Should I go to Russia for an internship?

Really? My gf is from SPb and I saw tonnes of guys get beat and there are lots of drunks. And I’m not talking getting beat in an alleyway. This was getting beat on Nevskiy metro station in the evening when people were going from work.

Thanks rusanon! Appreciate the help.
But no more questions so far.
Kaluga would be the other option next to St. Petersburg. Maybe you know it.

Thanks user, good input.
I got around quite a bit already and was always able to connect to people. I was just wondering in this case, because I know they barely speak english there. But got it. Just "hit and miss" in this regard, untill I find someone. Makes sense

What's the capital gains tax in Russia? Is crypto taxed? Can I own a double barrel shotgun in my house with no bullshit? How hard is it to find weed I know it's decriminalized in Russia.

ofc it’s not so far away from moscow but as i said before, i HIGHLY RECOMMEND stay in moscow or saint-p. they aren’t as expensive as you might think. you will be feeling comfy with $1200/month even in moscow. studio or 1bdr is about $500-600/month and everything else is cheap af. fast internet $7/month, huge meal in mcdonalds $6-7.
saint p is a bit cheaper: studio/1bdr $350-450 there

Alright, let´s see if I can manage to get to St. Petersburg. Would be nice. Thanks friend!
