This can't be real

"As a general rule, when the Copyright Office receives an application for registration, the claimant certifies as to the truth of the statements made in the submitted materials. The Copyright Office does not investigate the truth of any statement made."

You don't know that's how it went down.
I am a junior lawyer and though I don't specialize in copyright, I can tell you there was likely some kind of further confirmation than just asking the man "are you really sure you're Satoshi?" especially since this case is very high profile.
You can easily get all correspondence relating to the case through a FOIA request. Somebody should do it.
>As a general rule
Which in legalese means, "for most routine cases." I don't think this was a routine case, do you?

>Strewth! I'm satoshi cunt!

CHECKED

(OP)
so creg confirmed he is the applicant for the copyright claim
with this he committed yet an other fraud
orange is the new black

except the US govt came out and said his claim, as stated, is full of shit

>Ok then here's your copyright
no such thing happened
more like this:
>mr wright can you confirm you lay claim to the copyrights of satoshi nakamoto full knowing you commit fraud if you are not actually him (not that we check)
>yes
>ok your registration is now official (liar)

Checked and stiff!

Read the rest of it, you stupid fucking brainlet.

Literally 0 verification, it all relies on him to "confirm". That confirmation is "Yes".

That's all he did.

I do like how it says people submitting false claims could be subject to penalties..
