>chad >didn't actually get the major demand that held up a deal from being made earlier in the first place I'm going to laugh if immigration hawks eat this deal up because it's literally nothing but kabuki theater where the crossing numbers will go down (and trump can crow he's tightening the border) solely because they have to wait on the mexico side if they are apprehended or applying for asylum. and in theory the guard deployment on mexico's southern side will stop them but will it really? Considering they did not in the end force mexico to get third party designation I think this is more Trump seeking an out for the mess they actually could of and I'm kind of surprised they were dumb enough not to actually let the tariffs take effect and get the senate republicans panicked enough to overturn them but amlo's appeasing instincts won out here, though as I said above the concessions aren't as major as you'd think
