If it was anyone else in my family it would have been very upsetting. I'm not expecting to go to any funerals for a while now that she's gone. But yes, I wouldn't have called out on such short notice unless I was sick or a family emergency like that. I get decent PTO but work piles up way too fucking fast so I'm scared to call out
