Secularization was a mistake.
Burn the heretics, slaughter the heathens.
It's them or us.

>Separation of church and state isnt in the constitution bong
And then you admit it's literally the first amendment

Jesus would have been a lot happier if they used that money to feed and cloth the poor than make a cross.

> Jason Heap filed the lawsuit Wednesday with the help of the Humanist Society, alleging that military officials unjustly passed him over earlier this year because he doesn’t believe in traditional religion — not because he lacked qualifications, Stars and Stripes reports.

> The lawsuit seeks Heap’s instatement as a Navy chaplain and the designation of the Washington-based Humanist Society as the official endorsing agency for humanist chaplains, as well as for the court to recognize that Heap’s constitutional rights were violated.

> Heap, who applied to become a chaplain last year, was informed this spring that the Navy had declined his application without explanation.

Are there any WW1 vets still alive to theoretically give a shit? Fuck these people. They literally go looking for shit to complain about.

Separation of church and state has nothing to do with public officials openly endorsing/practicing religion. Its about separating the powers held by and organized church from the powers of an organized government. That way, someone who offends the church does not get fucked over by the government. If you just look at what the founding fathers were standing against, it becomes pretty obvious. The head of the Church of England was also King of Great Britain, meaning he had absolute control over people's spiritual and material lives. As long as the government is not marching into peoples homes and force converting them, I do not care.
