I've actually visited Japan and loved it. The main problem with Japan are the insane work hours and low pay. When you consider the cost of living compared to job pay it's just ridiculous and barely enough to live off of after paying rent/food.

its a saturated market and you have to have decades of experience to qualify for the positions that pay a middle class wage. The engineering firms know you need experience to get anywhere in the profession so they can get away with paying you poorly and making absurd money off your billable time. Once you get a licence (4 year degree and 4 years experience and 2 absurd exams required) and you have 10+ years of relevant experience you can take a position extracting the value of other young engineers and making them do your bitch work while you take all the credit and make all the money.

I dont know how long its been since you graduated but the most important things i did to get a job when i graduated were passing the E.I.T. exam, and begging my professors to help me get an entry level job literally anywhere. The E.I.T. exam is a huge barrier that an absurdly high percentage of people never pass, so putting that certification on my resume got people to actually talk to me for an interview.

Oh we don't have that in my province. Here we get the EIT automatically after uni, then companies hire you. The exam is after 4 years of EIT.
The problem is that the government imported tons of indians who all have "engineering degrees" and will work for nothing, so it's next to impossible to get an EIT job under a professional engineer to do the apprenticeship. So I'm stuck doing CS monkeywork because it's the only thing I can get that pays the bills. I want to be an EE, I don't want to do this, I hate every day.

thats pretty sweet. Here in burger land you have to take and pass an exam when you graduate to receive and E.I.T. certificate. Its essentially like all the final exams from all your hardest classes rolled into one super exam that you take for 8 hours strait in a single day.
Then after the 4 years of qualifying experience under a registered engineering supervisor, if you already are an E.I.T., you can take the P.E. exam and if you pass that, then you get a licence to practice engineering.

The best you can do i try to get as much from the current system as you can - go to college before it will be to late and all the intellectuals will be imprisoned for teaching the "wrong doctrines" aka science. Going to third world countries doesn't really change the problem, as these folks are degenerate or are kept or manipulated by the western society to stay that way (just look at US foreign policies since Korea).
You can go to Korea, which is reasonable but the food is shit. China is an absolute no. You don't have SJW bs there but the communist propaganda is the same while it establishes unequal class systems with their social rank. Japan is in theory nice but they hate foreigners, specially Americans and they wouldn't accept you as one of theirs no matter how good you speak the language or how much you understand about their insanely detailed culture.
