if you are past the age of ~15, learning a new language with a different syntax/grammar and even alphabet is near impossible unless you take professional and intensive courses daily for at least 3 years. Self learning languages is a meme so forget that.

>chinese
Out of all the languages out there, I would most certainly advise AGAINST learning chinese. The Chinese and their culture is that of lies, deceit and self-hatred with few exceptions. If you aren't chinese, even if you do speak the language, they will always view you as subhuman or trash (Laowai).

For the heck of it:
共匪
藏獨
達賴

六四天安门事件
1989年天安门广场大屠杀
1989年天安門廣場大屠殺

stfu you have no idea what you are talking about

truth hurts, i know. but better to know of it than to live in the dark.

tibet isnt a country and always was a part of a china and the dalai lama is a dangerous terrorist that used the people of the chinese province of tibet like peasents.

Lots and lot's of people have learned Chinese in their adult years, and I have been teaching myself Japanese for the past 3 months and it isn't that hard.

You are speaking a myth, in many ways learning languages is easier as an adult because you can understand complex information better and are more disciplined.

>You are speaking a myth, in many ways learning languages is easier as an adult because you can understand complex information better and are more disciplined.
Yeah that is not how learning languages works at all. But live in your own fantasy.

I know, those are keywords that gets anyone from China autoblocked from the internet.

Japanese is easier and better

Wow, look at all these anti-China propaganda, good job guys, you sure got them this time :^)

>they will always view you as subhuman

Unless you're white.

Not sure if Falun Gong 50-cent troll or CIA's Operation Earnest Voice

I've also learned mandarin since I was 14. The grammar is easy as fuck. It's only difficult to learn in the first year.

The problem is, the vocabulary is difficult to learn. I would advise you to first take it at a community college (where its nearly free), then after a semester, pick up a Chinese dictionary and learn as much vocabulary as you can.

Also, watch Chinese cartoons (not anime, donghua) such as "the Kings Avatar". These shows have Chinese subtitles due to the many dialects of Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Southern Min etc.)

Ignore the trolls, there are two Chinas. If you're not fond of the PRC there is always the ROC.

No Japanese is not easier.

The grammar is a fucking nightmare at times compared to Mandarin.

Also, you have to know when to use Kanji, when to use Katakana and when to use Hiragana.

REMOVE TROLL
FALUNGONG IS CULT

stop projecting your mediocrity.
I did it, anybody can do it.

Nice larp.
99.99% of all chinese people were appreciative of even a basic understanding of chinese, shit like xie xie, zai jian, duo gui, and counting.

This

After learning Mandarin, despite being a Laowai, Chinese people DID appreciate my efforts in learning the language.
In Beijing, baristas would give me free coffee because I would order everything in Mandarin.

Ignore the cult paid trolls

Chairman plz go
Jow Forums is not for you
Go back to forcefully taking land from poor people and farmers and telling them to fuck off and killing them if they disobey

I was there for 1 year and had a tutor friend show me basic:
>pronunciation/phonemes (tonal language btw)
>method of drawing characters (words)
>sentence structure/syntax

From there my everyday life was using it when/wherever I could. Hopefully you start clicking with the culture wherever you are and get more immersion/conversation.

If you can get a gf it's fun. I used to talk dirty during sex with this one girl and I generally learned a lot more through socialising. It's a language, after all.

虽然我好久没有讲中文,但是如果我忽然在中国街上醒来了,一定会有舒服的生活

Go to your local chinese food place and get to know the staff. "Oh {Insert name here}!" (followed by a bunch of chinese of which you understand because you made friends with the staff and they don't have much to do sometimes so the staff stands around cleaning or waiting at the counter. "How are you? I take your {insert topic} went well"

I'm Taiwanese and this is very accurate with my dealings with mainlanders and some hong kongers.

Southeast asians really do hate each other

start lying constantly and give in to groupthink. You'll be speaking Chinese in no time.

>learning a language forces you to go where it's spoken the most
Shit, I'm gonna learn Aramaic so I can travel through time.
