I want to move to England but I need some pointers. The flight will be arranged for me, and I just need to pay a small amount to stay at a place with my best friend.
My worries are just how difficult it would be to quickly get some random job for food and that house fee.
Please give me some life advice on how to go about finding a job.
Some info: My grades are insanely good and I'm a very social and liked person. I have some experience interning at a medical clinic but that's about it. Ask anything else you need to know.
Read the book by George Orwell: Down and Out in Paris and London

A few questions for ha lad >Can you speak multiple languages >What is your highest education level >What is your degree in >do you prefer the city or rural >How old are you
Anthony Peterson
Yes I speak 3 languages and understand 2 more, my highest education level is the British A Level (A*A*AA), I did a year of medicine but hated it and quit, prefer the city but we already have the house so, and I'm turning 20 in 2 weeks

Look for an advanced apprenticeship else you won't find anything in London
Mason Jenkins
The house is in West Sussex actually, my bad. That's where I would like to find a job but I just don't know how to go about the actual search nor how likely it would be for me to find something quickly.

Where are you from? Are you sure you will be allowed to immigrate?
Benjamin Evans
I'm Dutch, born and raised like my parents. Unless they don't let Dutch citizens in I'm completely fine.
Aaron Adams
I just made a thread on moving to the US. If youre from there check it out.
As for getting a job, as soon as you get the right to work factory jobs are easy to get. Or you can do less legal work.
My bad i didn't read the thread from what you said you'll be fine and should fit on ok.

Go in before Brexit just to be safe.
Carson Carter
It's easy to find employment online. Gumtree/Monster/Indeed can allow you to refine by location.
What is your descent?
Gavin Rivera
I'll check those out, and my grandparents are Caribbean, Russian, and Jordanian
Isaac Bailey
Your only chance is on being Dutch mostly.
The UK has got way stricter on immigration for no real reason. They've crushed post study visa's and made the only decent one the worst thing I've ever heard of.
And yeah, do try to get in before Brexit. But be prepared to accept that this nation is a sinking ship as all the attractive lasses go back to Europe
Joseph Lee
I'm only looking to stay there until summer, going back to uni in Holland then. Do you know how I can get started with getting a visa and actually being allowed to work/stay there? I have no clue how any of this works and I'm not getting any help.
Logan Hernandez
>I'm not getting any help. If you are really looking for help, look someplace else
Isaac Adams
really depends on what part of england
Caleb Howard
gov.uk/apply-uk-visa All the requirements will be on gov.uk & it'll also say what you can/can't do. There's bound to be some shops and call centers near your mate's house. As long as you can speak English decently & have a bit of work experience you should be fine.

You CAN'T just move to England. They have to let you in.
Tourist visa (the stamp in your passport at the airport) limits your stay and specifically forbids working. If you overstay or try to get a job you'll be arrested and deported.
Resident visa, roughly equivalent to the US Green Card, requires advance application, lots of paperwork, and evidence that you have loads of money in the bank and won't go on the dole.
Work visa requires that you have a job offer in hand before you apply, and the company has to do loads of paperwork swearing they couldn't find a native Brit who could do the job.
In short, go visit your friend for a couple of weeks, And then come home
Isaac Hernandez
He is an EU citizen so this doesn't apply. Until possibly after Brexit.

You'll be competing with thousands of other PLs here for work, and your employers are almost guaranteed to be racist and treat you like shit.
