This is probably not the best place that I should be getting advice from, but I feel like you guys could really help in a situation like this.

Last night, I was looking up the details of the legalities of stuff like lolicon here in Australia (where I’m from), and as it turns out, it is ILLEGAL as it is a form of sexualising children.

At the moment, on my computer, I currently possess all 8 English-translated chapters of the Yuri manga “Is My Hobby Weird?”. It features several scenes in which the main characters Maiko & Risa (both of which are of high-school age) partake in highly-sexual acts (mostly cunnilingus), many of which take place in a bathroom stall.

Keep in mind the fact that the average age of being in the second year of high school is 15-16, plus the fact that this was originally produced, sold and distributed in Japan, where their CP laws are becoming stricter and the age of consent over there is 18 (I know some say it’s 12), plus the fact that possessing something like this in Australia is illegal, and you’re one a one way ticket to the big house.

I told my mum about this last night and earlier this morning, and all she said was “you should probably just go out more” and that “we don’t really need a lawyer”. Really?

She said that she was gonna go look up some more information based off what I sent her in the text messages.

Soooo.... what do I do? Should I call the police assistance line? Should I tell mum to get a lawyer? Any help would be apreeciated.

That’s not a bad idea actually. I’ve gone ahead and deleted the contents, also emptied the recycle bin to make sure it’s gone competely.

deleting something from the recycle bin does not remove it completely

If he deletes it and never goes back, he'll be fine, they don't care.
If he was seeking out a ton, sharing it, and on the path to searching for cp..... i'd be worried.

I never exactly told my mum about it, but all I did was just delete the manga files completely off my computer (emptied the recycle bin and deleted my entire browser history just to make sure).

Now that that’s out of the way, I kinda wanna post another thread on this board talking about an incident which was way worse than what happened here.
