This specific study aside there have been tons and tons of case studies in different parts of America in which defunding sexual education and community resources like Planned Parenthood have been directly linked to increases in STDs and teen pregnancy. I'm not going to pretend to understand or assume the motivation of an individual deciding to wear a particular piece of clothing. All anyone can do is speculate as to the reasons people wear the things they do. From a personal perspective as a male sometimes I wear things because I think a certain part of my body looks good and sometimes I wear things for utilitarian purposes. It really depends. Self-esteem is a complicated thing and you'd really have to analyze it on a case by case basis to determine whether or not their clothing decisions are empty vanity or not.

The only thing I know for certain is the quantifiable effects of forcing chastity based principals onto a child instead of giving them the tools to come to that conclusion on their own. Completely prohibiting a child from exploring their own sexual identity will result in unchecked hypersexualism later down the road. That's just the reality. If you attempt to regulate a child's sexual identity for them by the time they leave your house they won't know how to regulate it themselves.

I'm actually majoring in psychology to be a children's therapist. Human sexuality is one of the required psychology courses for a psych degree.
Also psych says that masturbating happens at young as in the crib and is normal and healthy and shaming it causes children to form a really unhealthy relationship with sex and their body. In example, the young boy who is screamed at by their mother for discovering porn is more likely to fear and hate women and have poor self esteem.

Because that isn't how real life works. You don't get to do a shitty job parenting and then have your kid grow up functional and happy. Parenting is uncomfortable. It is full of compromise, shock, disappointment and most importantly the necessity to evolve. Watching your child make mistakes and be awkward and make less than informed decisions is a necessary part of good parenting. You can either fight against it tooth and nail and watch your child slowly distance themselves from you and never confide in you or adopt your ideals or you can learn to compromise and accept the fact that your kid will never be the 100% perfect person that you want them to be.

If a child is a raised in a household in which their parents (particularly women and their fathers) yell, abuse, abandon, mistreat or terrorize children grow up believing that chaos and abuse is how one expresses love. They spend their entire childhood trying to please this abusive, controlling paternal figure in their lives and earn their love and trust so as adults they tend to fall into the same patterns. The human mind has a tendency to recreate its greatest traumas. On a subconscious level, the mind of abused child tries to fix the trauma of the past by recreating it and controlling it in the future. If a woman can make an abusive partner happy and earn his love then it will again, subconsciously, "fix" the love she never earned from her abusive father. Women who choose to be in abusive relationships are almost 100% of the time from abusive homes. Women who were raised with love and affection and good relationships aren't attracted to and don't put up with abuse. It just doesn't happen. Children do what they are taught regardless of whether or not they're conscious of it. Teach them violence and abuse and that's what they do.

Pain is not a black and white concept. Pain can be associated with both good and bad things. Studying for 4 hours a night can be painful but we teach children that its for a good purpose. Exercising and striving to be a great athlete can be physically painful but we tell our child that hard work can pay off. Even as parents we sometimes lose our patience with children. We yell at them or even hit them but we come back and apologize and tell them we made a mistake. Even though the experience was painful for them they learn about compromise and forgiveness and still love us. It is no different when it is with a significant other.
