Should I tell my boss that I'm going to start looking for another job soon because they can't provide health insurance?
Should I tell my boss that I'm going to start looking for another job soon because they can't provide health insurance?
No, they probably don't care what happens to you.
I'm scared they'll fire me right away even though I don't have anything else lined up yet.
No they will probably make you do grunt shit work because you’re leaving, or make you leave earlier so you don’t get benefits. Or fire you earlier. Literally why would you tell them anything
Really depends on your contract or your commitments with your current job. I would say don't tell them until you find a new job, and just be honest about your current employment situation when you're interviewing for new jobs. for example, if they require 2 weeks notice, you should tell potential employers "I'll need 2 weeks to finish up my current job before I can start"
No, you dont tell you boss unless you enjoy mental pain.
Nope. Never announce your play before you play it. Have you asked for benefits? Is it on paper and documented in your company's HR? If you have, this gives you good legal standings because the paper trail shows that you have taken steps to improve your working conditions. This way, if they try any shit later on, you have a legal safety net to fall on.
It's a small company that can't be reasonably expected to provide health insurance.
OP, here's a lesson in employment:
1) Never tell your current employer anything you do outside of work. EVER. Your employer has no positive need for such information and can only be used against you.
2) You should never "update" your CV or "start" looking for a job. You should ALWAYS be looking for a job. Even after you applied and got another job, that same week, you should be applying elsewhere.
3) To negotiate with your current employer, you must always be ready to leave. More often than not you will get rehired on your terms.
4) Do not burn bridges or leave on bad terms or you may get HR blacklisted.
Never update your CV?
My son, you're a fucking retard.
Is it acceptable to say
>Boss, I like working here but I don't think I can stay here for the long-haul since this company doesn't provide benefits.
This
No one gives a shit. Just find a different job
No. Never even hint at leaving
>too busy to make time for a job interview
god i want to be a NEET again
Do not tell them you are looking, many will let you go right away. I learned the hard way. You can give them a two weeks notice once you secured another job elsewhere.
>I learned the hard way.
What's your story?
this
manager and they gave me another store to manage in addition to the one I already had and I asked for more compensation and they refused saying I should be glad to have a job so I said I was going to look for another job and they fired me on the spot. That abrupt.
career suicide.
Why would an employer want someone who does not like working for him?
you're the fucking retard. I'm new to this thread fyi and next time shut your fucking mouth before you spew shit you misinterpret
No, don’t tell them until you have the job lined up with confirmation and starting date. Unless you are somehow valuable enough to the company that losing you is more of a cost than providing insurance, and even then your boss won’t always act rationally.
