Wax buildup reEEEEE

Alright Jow Forums I have 6 hours before I have to leave my house. I can't hear shit from either ear, and it's driving me crazy. The pressure is really high, it hurts, my ears are ringing, and everything sounds like it's at least 300ft/100m away.
I've been to an emergency clinic where I got billed 18€ (thank you European "free" healthcare) and some dipshit "doctor" told me what I already knew; That I have wax buildup.

Does anyone have a remedy for this that will work within 6 hours? I can't go to work, I can't go to school, I don't feel safe driving or even walking outside.
I've tried some oil from the pharmacy, I've tried blasting warm water in there with a syringe, it's hopeless. The oil flows right out and the syringe thing only results in some yellow water coming from my ears.

Your ears are probably infected, you need to take antibiotics and a allergy reliever. I had the same shit last year.

They're not infected, it's just wax buildup. I paid 18 fucking yuros for some faggot to look in my ears and tell me.
I've had this before but happened over the holidays and only in one ear, so I could drop the fucking oil in there for a few days, schedule an appointment with my doctor, they washed it out with a syringe, flew out in one blast, and the fucking wax plug was an inch long.

I guess your best bet is probably a big syringe and hot water like you said. I used debrox which is pretty decent oil.

Is it worth sitting in the bathtub for 6 hours and doing this? If you think it's worth it I may as well try.

Head to your local chemist, tell them ,theyll advise ear drops, like pic related

Is h2o2 safe to use in ears? I've read a lot of articles about its use but I've never been recommended it either in the pharmacy or by a doctor. I'll head out and buy it, hopefully it does its job in the 5 hours before I have to go.

They already advised ear drops and they do fuck all. "Softens the wax" my left buttock, it's all still in there. I don't want to wait two weeks to solve this problem, I'll go mad from the ringing before day 3 is over. I'm already irritated beyond belief.

Dude I also get the same thing occasionally - just use Audispray twice a day, two sprays in each ear. It won't happen instantly, but my ears usually fix in max 2-3 days. Just don't use the cotton shit sticks because they push the wax deeper.

Yeah, tough luck make. Put this in twice a day for like a week, then get the doctor to blast water/whatever into your ears.

Thanks for the advice lads, good news, even though today is a holiday where I live I found an open pharmacy. The peroxide crackling noises are kinda relaxing.

Aren't those sprays just some mixture of peroxide + oil anyway?
I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown, I'm pouring this h2o2 shit in my ear like there's no tomorrow. I'd rather die than admit defeat and accept this'll take more than one evening right now.

>complaining about 18 euro
OP I paid $80 for a doctor to walk on, look at me for 5 seconds, and ignore my questions about cryosurgery on a scar
Fuck the American healthcare system

I had the same problem I went to a ear and throat specialist who vacuumed my ears out. Buzzfeed had a video about it, look into it. It was fucking amazing

(OP)

I had a ear infection earlier this year and had to keep the wax under control for a few months. if you need a quick fix try getting the wax sucked out (I do not remember what was used but it was almost like a tiny vacuum machine)

Hey 18 yuro is a big deal in a system touted worldwide as "free". I always argue with conservaburgers on reddit about how the system actually works. This is the first time I've almost literally been told to go fuck myself though.

I was there one time; My mom is a nurse and managed to get me in there at like 11PM. That was my first time. The vacuum had like a little needle and camera on it, the doc sucked the wax out bit by bit while looking at the screen. Loud as fuck when it's right next to your eardrum though. Shame they only have one in my city, and it's nearly impossible to get to, otherwise I'd go there once a year. Happened because I pushed the wax in with q-tips in one ear.
The second time, I used the useless fucking pharmacy oils for four days, set up an appointment with my doc, and she used a big syringe with warm water to wash it out. One sploosh and the giant thing came right out. Happened during washing my hair, but only in one ear.
This time, again from washing my hair, but somehow both ears clogged at the same time. I bought some H2O2 like suggested, laid a towel over my pillow, and laid on my bed. Poured some in the ear, waited for the sizzling to stop, then turned around. Did that twice for each ear, then used a small (like 3mL) syringe to try and blast it out. Rinse and repeat, and now, 4 hours later, I can hear again :D

I still have some ear ringing in my right ear, and it's hurting a bit, both as if the wax was still in there. 90 minutes left until I have to leave home, hopefully it subsides. I'm going to wear a hat (like beanie/skier style) when I go out to prevent any infection, and I'm thinking of taking earplugs with me. Thoughts?

Also happy halloween nibbas, thanks for reading the thread

glad it worked for ya m8y. no on the ear plugs. and read the whole article thing all the way through if you didn't; ears need to have a small amount of wax in them. have fun halloween~

18euro is still affordable though, for most people
Even the upper middle class have trouble paying for American healthcare

So why didn’t he use a fiber optic scope and remove the blockage...

Just buy some over the counter hydrogen peroxide solution. Dilute it 50/50 with warm (not too hot, and not cold) water, preferably purified to avoid any weird infection problems. Lie on your side and squirt some in your ear. Let that shit dissolve the wax. It might take multiple applications. If that shit is really impacted from you using cotton swabs like you're not supposed to you're going to have a hell of a time getting it out without a doctor getting in there and manually extracting the lump of wax.

Whether or not this will work within six hours, I'm not sure. With all the other treatments you were doing you're probably supposed to be lying on your side anyway and letting it weaken the wax; you're not going to be able to just blast it out of your head.

Oh I should have read before posting. Your ears are probably aggravated by the pressure, or there might still be some wax impacted in there.

Yeah but everyone already knows American healthcare is fucked. Europe is hailed worldwide as having this amazing free healthcare system, yet I paid 4 hours' pay to have some dude look in my ears and tell me "Yep, you have wax." Assuming I was in there for 30 minutes (I wasn't, it was less than 10), that's 36€/hr. Assuming a 40-day workweek that's 1440 PER WEEK. My parents don't make that in a fucking month, and I make half of what they make, if that!
Because apparently the emergency clinic doesn't deem sudden loss of hearing an emergency. They don't even have syringes to wash ears out.
Yeah, they still are. I grabbed some earplugs despite advice, because I was headed for a concert (Hammerfall \m/), and it was pretty fucking loud, even with the plugs. I hope if I keep things silent for a few days it'll get better, and that my right ear will stop ringing.

Totally worth it for Hearts on Fire though.
