Got any advice for someone who is socially awkward and inept going to the job market?
What's worked for you?

Just keep going at it. Look for jobs every day and be patient. I got my first job about half a year ago. It was from a place I applied to about two months prior.

I already have a job, I'm just underemployed (not un employed) and want a more stem related job since I have an engineering degree and feel I have no future for moving up in my current company .

Practice makes perfect. In some jobs they will take even the biggest weirdos (STEM or heavily male dominated jobs). Good luck!

>STEM
Bullshit

I'm assuming this is one of your first jobs or very inexperienced. Contact a staffing agency they do all the work finding you a job

>your first jobs
No
>staffing agency
Useless

Why is staffing agency useless to you? Clearly you're an idiot having trouble finding employment.

Yea, if you're socially inept and need a job a staffing agency is the way to go, because it's a guaranteed job that you don't have to interview for.

People underestimate staffing agencies, they find good work for qualified people too degrees and shit.

Ever been to any company which actually makes money off its core departments full of STEM students (making cars, software, economics, physics and so on...)?

In some companies this goes so far they dont even let potentional candidates for the position to come in contact with normies from HR, usually the boss himself does the interview because otherwise the shy introverts would collapse otgerwise in presence of normie stacy.

This is solif option as well, though what they dont tell you is that your wage will be x% smaller (the agency literally takes cut from your company aka from your wage) compared to if you handled the employement yourself.

>Why is staffing agency useless to you?
You tell me
I've gone to them to find work without much sucess,
Got an EE degree and staffing company could only get me a position working in a warehouse.
I did have to interview though

You anerican? Try another staffing agency, Google search "Aerotek" good agency. Some are shit

>Ever been to any company which actually makes money off its core departments full of STEM students (making cars, software, economics, physics and so on...)?
Yeah
And I can tell that what you are saying isnt true
Why the hell am I going to therapy and taking all kinds of drugs so I can seem normal if it's so easy for "weirdos" to get these jobs?

Yes I'm American
>Aerotek
I did try aerorek, no real help.
Randstad was what placed me in a warehouse.

Depends on which mental disorder we are talking about. Schizos wont get job no matter how good they are at their science. You still need to be part of team of other weirdos to perform your job...

Also it is also possible that you live in wrong area where job market is completely fucked. Atm here in eastern europe we can cherry pick which jobs we want. Usa on other hand is literally decaying from the inside...

What state? I've only dealt with aerotek and they found me good paying data entry. I'd you go to website? They have jobs listed, also some recruiters only specialize in warehouse you might need to request another that specializes in your field.

>mental disorder
No disorder
I'm introverted and socially awkward
Texas.

Very strange, check the website for job listings. And contact another recruiter.

>check the website for job listing
I did that for two fucking years

I'm in california and I'm always getting calls from recruiters for different job opportunities. Sounds like Texas isn't doing so well.

i just keep my head down and work, during my lunch break i go and watch traffic. No ones gonna question it if you arent weird about it. if they ask just say you dont like people watching you eat. Then get back in there and focus on working

Companies have an incentive to saturate the job market so they can pay stem employees less.

I'm not sure looking now. Not so much socially awkward just very shy/get nervous a lot.

Trying to break into IT security. Starting to apply for help desk jobs. I have a B.S in math but I don't want to teach really.

Maybe your CV sucks ass. I swear sone people are incapable of making one. Post censored one as picture.

>Maybe your CV sucks
Maybe you suck
