Politics is not just politics. It may be to professional politicians but on a real, tangible basis it is complete moral framework. Its values. Its the entire way we live. People in this culture have this asinine idea that you can just simply separate politics from general morality when its convenient for you but that's just ridiculous. You can't support policies and ideals that directly harm other people then claim "Its just politics" when those people come for their pound of flesh from you. That isn't real life.

Again, an illogical argument. Debating a point with emotion logically has nothing to do with the content of your position. A fact is a fact regardless of whether or not I'm yelling it or whispering it. One can make the case that an argument is based on emotion and not fact but that again is really irrelevant to the manner in which this information is conveyed. Again, this is a very common technique against poor debators; they goad their opponents into anger by being purposefully inflammatory, insulting and condescending then once they get the angry reaction they're looking for they use ad hominems to dismiss their opponents arguments instead of engaging with them. Its pretty easy to take the high ground when all you have to do is yell "Hey look everyone, my opponent is angry and yelling, obviously I'm correct because I'm being calm." to win an argument. Being emotional about an argument is not a logical critique.
