Use different platform. Discord is easy to set up, easy to use even for people who never heard of it. You dont even need account for it.

You answered your own question and you don't even know it. If you want to congregate with people, walk away from your computer. You can obviously use it to meet people and join groups, but the goal is not to sit in your room by yourself hitting refresh every couple of minutes.

There's plenty of other smaller forums depending on your interest, and most people in their 30s and middle age and even golden years are on facebook.

Personally? I've already moved on, I check in like once every couple of weeks or something. I do have one board I go on everyday but literally the entire rest of the site I avoid like the plague that it is except brief moments of curiosity like I had today. I also unironically moved onto reddit. All the shit that we used to accuse it of and anons still think of is actually way worse on Jow Forums.

What's gonna happen to the website? Probably nothing, it might switch hands again and japanese moot might sell it to some some chinese spyware company or something, and the beehive of autism and trolling that is its userbase it only going to become even more ironic and autistic,

Jow Forums was conceived by the notion that too many >tfw no gf threads had flooded /b/. In the wake of them sucking down entire chunks of /b/'s catalog, we got Jow Forums.

It's not supposed to be a quality board, it's supposed to be a containment board. And besides that, the 30+ thread is a shitty metathread echo chamber full of nothing but coddling and validating objective flaws.

Every separate kind of shitty poster on Jow Forums thinks the rest of Jow Forums is the problem, but really, they're all the problem-- and them being here on Jow Forums is ultimately the solution.
