There are different reasons why she wouldn‘t get her needs met and not all of them would fall back on the guy.
Maybe she has never told him what those needs are or she‘s not even aware of them herself.
Or if she has communicated them, maybe he can‘t satisfy them, which wouldn‘t necessarily be his fault either.
Ofc it would also be the guys responsibility to make sure the communication in his relationship is good enough for her to feel like she can tell him if her needs don‘t get met without him having his ego wounded.

For example: a girl feels unhappy in her relationship. She feels like her bf thinks she‘s not good enough because she went trough his browser history and saw that he‘s jacking it to chubby girls. But she‘s petite and has small boobs. She feels ugly and undesireable.
If both of them had etablished an environment of trust, honesty and open comunication, she could tell him „hey, i‘ve sen what kind of porn you watched and it hurt me because those girls are nothing like me. I feel inferior and like i‘m not really what you want. I would need to feel desired by my bf in order to be happy in a relationship.“
Now that it would be out in the open, he could help ease her concerns by explaining that he likes a lot of different body types when he‘s horny but that he thinks she‘s beautiful just the way she is and that he‘s not just with her because he thinks she‘s very sexually desirable but also because he loves her as a person.
Now if she can‘t be honest about this, it will slowly grow inside of her. Every time he makes a harmless remark about her cute little butt, it will be like a knive trough her heart. Every time she thinks he has taken a peak at some girls boobs, she‘ll be pissed off. She might start looking into getting fake titts, starts getting depressed, feeling like she‘ll never be as pretty as those girls with their fertile bodies, yadda yadda.

See how this can easily spiral and make two people extremely miserable?
Every moment in a relationship is sadly full of pitfalls that can turn into this kind of Desaster.
That‘s why it‘s the responsibility of both people involved to establish honesty in their relationship.

Most people are huge pussies. They rather do shady stuff than be upfront. It‘s scary to break up and maybe she just wants to „hurt you as bad as you‘ve hurt her“. People aren't perfect. They are sometimes out for revenge. But that‘s not a question of gender, it‘s one pf maturity.
