Give advice, other than "drink water" because I'm already doing that.

Other cheek ain't as bad I believe
go to doctor u might have scabies, he gives u something to treat it
He has acne, that's not how scabies looks like.
Also, as someone who had scabies - you KNOW when you have scabies, you want to rip your skin off from itching.
Go to a doctor anyway.
All you can do is wait. It will probably go away by the time you are 21.
I had a friend in high school who had horrible acne, much worse than yours. You could barely see the colour of his skin (white guy). He was given heavy prescription meds for it and that didn't even work. When I saw him after high school at about age 21 his acne was completely gone.
I've been to a doctor and he gave some creams and stuff but they don't help, at all. Changed doctors and still the same thing.
Yeah but what until then? This has done a serious number on my self confidence and sometimes I feel like a puddle of mud.
Go back again and ask for other pills.
My skincare regime helped with my acne but I wouldn't advise it to anyone because I'm no expert.
They haven't given me any pills, "it's unnecessary" according to the doctor. Just creams upon creams, wasting money
Bump
they will literally give you pills nearly instantly if you ask for it
Never had acne, but seems like one of those things you have to let pass, maybe look up what others have done to rid of it??
>maybe look up what others have done to rid of it??
Hence the thread
You know what, you're probably right, on the next check up I'll explicitly ask for pills.
What are some side effects? Heard something about depression and I'm already pretty depressed so I'd like to avoid that.
Nothing works immediately, give it two weeks atleast.
You need to think about your skin, is it dry, is it oily. Have you washed your pillow case lately. Do you lay your head down on your arms. Anything you do can cause a brake out. When I started wearing a bandana around my neck I broke out. Dedicated for a month, and my brake out startsd clearing up. Write down everything you do, something is up with one side my dude.
On the confidence part, I can not help you. No idea how to confidence.
I give everything at least a month and a half.
>You need to think about your skin, is it dry, is it oily.
Oily
I change my pillow case at least twice a week.
I stopped touching my face
Get clindamycin 1% gel and azelaic acid 10% cream from the doctor. It cured my acne. See if you can also get a precription for antibiotics.
Yeah I'll try to get something oral the next time I go, that's my only option left, the gels and creams don't help.
neem oil
>tfw reading this and 21 and acne has only gotten worse despite rigorous hygiene and trying everything including accutane
What topicals have you tried? I am obsessed with acne/skincare so hopefully i can help
dont know names in English
Wash your face with soap made for your face, use a clean towel every time, wash your pillowcase every other day, no soda or juice just drink water, see an esthetician, consider skin peels and laser treatments.
I was about 24 before my bacne stopped being such a terrible thing.
Get more sun, I guess. That helped me a bunch.
Have you checked your hormone levels recently? Do you take steroids/anabolics of the sort?
Things like very high testosterone for example (or hormones overall being unstable) can really fuck you up. If that's the case, see an endocrinologist.
Go to a dermatologist. Not just some random doctor/GP, a dermatologist.
Idk how well it works, but you could also take a look at curology (curolo.gy)
And if you can afford it, acne laser treatment.
here's a few tips I guess.
>overwashing can be just as bad as not washing your skin. leaves it irritated.
>MOISTURIZE. hydrate your skin. water =/= oil. if your skin detects it's dry, it overproduces oil and sebum to overcompensate for it.
>avoid touching your face as much as possible
>change and wash your pillow covers often, and try to use silk/satin material
>exfoliate, but again, don't overdo it. use moisturizer afterwards.
>use sunscreen. Shit helped me so much. Sun really damages your skin, including acne breakouts.
Do you have acne on your back/chest too? If not a dermatologist won't give you a script for an oral med unless you also get cystic acne on your face
Most effective treatment is isotretinoin if you can get it, but it's usually reserved for severe/severe-cystic acne
I have had bad hormonal acne all through my teenage years and recently it began to clear up. It may be because i'm growing older and not a teenager anymore but it could also be some changes and additions I made to my skincare.
If your skin is super oily which it sort of looks like in your pic (for comparison my skin becomes oily and shiny to the touch within a few hours after washing it) then don't use a moisturiser. You don't need it, your skin is already producing a shit ton of the stuff. Only if you have regular or dry skin do you need to use one.
Use a face soap made for acne skin. I use La Roche Posay. Again depending on your levels of oil use it once in the morning and once in the evening. If your skin is like mine use it once in the middle of the day too. Don't scrub it off with a cloth or flannel, just splash water in your face.
Use a toner with some acid in it to strip your face. This was a game changer for me, not only does it reduce acne it makes your skin look really good and feel smooth as hell. I use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution.
Use an exfoliating scrub atleast once a week. At most once every 3-4 days because it will irritate your skin. I find the exfoliating scrubs that are an actual solid material instead of a chemical liquid are best. You need this especially when using an acid toner solution because that will quickly build up layers of dead skin on your face.
Keep sweat off your face. If you play sports of workout or something make sure you shower afterwards or wash your face.
Use a face mask. Best to use this after exfoliating but most you use multiple times a week.
Always sleep on a clean pillow case. Sleep on one side then the next night flip it over and sleep on the other. After that get a clean one, this makes a huge difference.
And finally don't eat so much dairy. Stop eating cheese as much as you can and try switching to dairy alternatives like almond milk or soya milk.
If it's demodex, benzyl benzoate (same that's being used to treat scabies) will help greatly.
You need to change your pillow case atleast once every two days. Flipping it over so you sleep on a clean side each time. Your face excretes alot of shit while you sleep because it's a time your body uses for detoxification and the skin is one of the pathways it uses to do this. If you sleep on the same side of a pillow case two nights in a row you're rolling your face around in oily gunk which will get trapped in your pours and give you spots, not good.
Are you white or it's your actual skin color on the picture?
>that nose
>those lips
>"white"
How Amerimutt can you be?
Antibiotics stop working as soon as you stop using them, which means your acne will break out again soon.
>then don't use a moisturiser. You don't need it, your skin is already producing a shit ton of the stuff.
no... what his skin is producing is oil/sebum. A moisturizer does wonders as long as it's not oil based. and again, if his skin is actually dry/dehydrated, it may start producing even MORE oil to overcompensate. you need hydration.
Change your diet, dont drink sugary bevarages, dont eat or drink milk products. If you live in a humid area dont use moisturizers, but dont over dry your skin either.
Yes I have heard this too but I think it's a crock of shit. I have had very oily skin since I was 13 and used moisturisers and they did nothing to decrease the level of oil/sebum my face was producing and only contributed to my shiny ass face. When I stopped using one my face became noticeably drier and I have never gone back. My skin is very oily however.
But if you do it each 2 days, on the second day you turn over the pillow and it wipes all grease of your bed. On the third day that grease from the bed goes right on your new pillow case.
I mean my skin is very oily in general, not that it became more oily after I stopped using the moisturiser.
Yeah then you change your bed sheet too obviously.
I'm not him, but is Dexpanthenol a good moisturizer? This is the only shit that doesn't break me out. Even La-Roche clogs my pores.
Start eating coconut oil. Thank me later.
I don't know. Maybe it varies from person to person. But at least give it a try.
Sorry, that much I don't know... Try to get different samples of different stuff and see which you like best/works best for you.
I've had severe acne for about 12 years now, and I believe mine was worse than yours when I was 18.
I found that my skin is clearest if I wash it once a day with only water. What I do is put my face under the shower for about 5 seconds (without touching or rubbing it with my hands) and then GENTLY TAP it with towel until the water absorbs. The rest of the day I try to avoid touching my face completely.
Face washes and face scrubs have made it worse and I end up requiring things like moisturizers. All the soaps and moisturizers and rubbing irritate my skin and just make it worse.
This is my experience though. I suggest to try it for 2 weeks, or longer if you want, and see what happens.
Oh, and I'd like to add that when I do this, my skin is much much MUCH less oily throughout the day. The moment I wash with soaps, it oils up like crazy.
Biggest things that many people won't tell you...
> change your pillow case every night
> get some sun
> Get cardio (20 - 30 min) two or threw times a week
> Get in the ocean or a salt water pool often
the above things helped my skin a lot.
Use cortezone cream and wash your face/shower daily, change your bedsheets/pillowsheets regularly, don't touch your face with your oily fingers
Not sure if it will work. But cleaning up your diet couldn't hurt. Stop eating sugar, and anything that is atifically sweet. Don't eat anything processed and stop eating fried shit. Drink water and only water. No juice, it's bad for you. Stay away from dairy and eat less meat and eggs. If you still have trouble you might think about fasting (talk to a doctor first.)
h
try fasting... no more sugar and fructose.. this also counts for sugar alcohols
Just wash your face :^)
Try tea tree soap/face cream
Record yourself popping those things and monetize it on youtube.
OP I’m going to give you the only answer that is legitimate and effective.
Water fast.
You’re welcome.
You mean he needs to drink water?
Isotretinoin
