Having grown up watching the star wars movies ad nauseum, played a shit ton of the games, read a lot of the books - even I don't fucking get how you retards care that much about this shit. Literally only 2 of the 10 (guaranteed to be 2 of 11) movies are even good, the books are at their best 70s campy sci-fi space opera with terrible story and character development, and the entire series has been a shallow vehicle for selling dolls to man children from the very beginning.

I think from day one this was a scramble for a major property to compete with Universal Studios. They absolutely couldn't fucking stand it that Universal Studios was about to eat their lunch. And they did not think this one out very well at all. My brother just got back from visiting that new Star Wars area. He was very disappointed and showed me the pictures. Everything looks old, dirty, drab, and depressing. They went with the edgy ragtag rebel theme on almost everything. They're so desperate to sell the theme that park staff were GIVING AWAY churros dusted in blue or red sugar and encased in cardboard lightsaber holders.

Disney did not think this one through, at all. How do you build an entire park around Star Wars? Harry Potter had it's own little world - A school, a place to shop, iconic candies they could easily sell in the parks, little wizard costumes, etc etc etc... It was an entire fantasy land. How do you make a "Star Wars" world? Most of the movies are out in the goddamn desert, there are no iconic "hero" costumes, everything always winds up getting blown up so there's no permanent "Jedi Academy" or anything like this... It really does look like shit. Also with Star Wars you're dealing now with three separate timelines. The entire park is one huge drab forced meme. If they think "the man children" are going to be busting a gut to return to this park every year, they're dead fucking wrong. They're all going to go to Hogwarts.
