I have been collecting military antiques, mostly German WWII items for the past 15 years.
I would really like to see Jow Forums's WWII German militaria if you have any, or anything you have related to NS Germany (no fakes or reproductions please).
And to keep the thread alive, no politics please (Heil Hitler!).
I'll post one or two of my photos for one of yours.
Can you give me any info on this OP? It's definitely a fallschirmjaeger helmet, but I'm not convinced this liner is legit. The seam running through the middle is glued, when it should be stitched. It's also cowhide, everything I've read suggests original liners are sheepskin. And while the name on the stamp is correct, I can't find the same stamp on any original liners. Talk me out of it. I don't have any other pics, guy is asking 300.
Why'd you choose that? Nazi Germany is definitely iconic, but I think I have a little more love for the aesthetics of Imperial Germany or even Prussia.
Granted, the older you go, the price and scarcity go up.
>I have a wine glass that belonged to Adolf Hitler. >An autographed photo of Rochus Misch >WWI German Boot knife. Grandpa's best friend pulled it off a dead kraut on D-day supposedly. >Some original photos taken by photographers on the Eastern Front
Ah, being easily manipulated by identity politics, got you. It'd still be awesome to get a nicely fitted SS officer uniform, but I can barely be bothered to keep enough care of my "Sunday best," attire to go to a wedding.

Have you seen Pawn Stars? At least that you be an historian on WWII is practically impossible that you claim 100% be owner of a real piece of history.
I collect ww2 stuff in general, focusing exclusively on Nazi shit is pretty cringe. But here's some of my poorfag entry level stuff
Xavier Jones
All of them please

Spanish Star B 1911 clone in 9mm Parabellum made under German contract for their civilian police force, markings confirm made it to Germany in 1935, served a while then sold to Bulgaria then Russian captured.
One of every paper money issued in Germany under the III Reich gov (although I'm missing konzentrationlagergeld which would be cool) I also have one of every coin for the reich, as well as pre-WW1, WW1 and WW2 german, french and british currencies
I'm too lazy go take pictures of everything, but here's my brick of Hitler's house
Here I'll just give ya a list of just my German stuff
>MP stahlhelm brought back by a family member who was with Patton >Hitler's house >Piece of paratrooper parachute and bullets and casings from breccourt Manor >Several photos from photo albums >I'd cards >Some tinnies >Air plane tag >Dug up belt buckle >Dug up mg42 belt >Dug up stg 44 magazine >Dug up mg42 barrel >Dug up mp40 magazine
I have a lot of other stuff, recently bought a high Ranking Japanese officers photo album. I collect a bit of everything from all sides. Except Russians. Being a mix of polish, ukranian, and various former austro Hungarian states, Russia and it's people can fuck off
I need to get one of those, I know they're pretty cheap but I just keep skipping buying one.
any photos of the Goering spoon? I'm looking for some of Goering's silverware myself and debating on which style to get. I do have two pieces of AH's formal silverware though.
Top k98k Byf 44 everything matches except the stock and barrel bands. Original stock was sporterized and all I had was a RC stock. Bottom k98k Jp sauer 42 everything matches except the bolt. Bolt is Jp sauer. Has a neat blood stain on it. >inb4 that's the wrong stock It's a wartime replaced stock. It's got the armour's cartouche in the stock.
Durkopp bayonet with unit marked frog.

Grease still works very excellent I've (ironically) used it once on my M1 garand.
I bought some stuff to get into it but the scene was small and I got into another hobby instead. I thought about doing a Wehrmacht kit since I for some reason thought doing a Waffen-SS kit would be frowned upon but it was actually like 50-50% which surprised me. Good for those guys not letting stuff like that stand in their way when playing dress up.

Afaik the scenes are pretty big, especially in britain and in the US. I mean, I live in Germany and I found a group pretty fast. We can't do SS here though, and I'm pretty happy about that sometimes because most of the SS guys I've met in Belgium and the Netherlands are just "muh elite" LARPers like the american paratroopers.
The point is, the SS is a forbidden organization like the NSDAP according to the nuremberg trials, whereas the Wehrmacht as the regular army isn't. And the thing with the swastika is kinda half-half, you can own "propaganda symbols" and wear them on private property, but it's banned in public exept under a few exemptions. So most of the events in germany have either no audience or are done in other countries like Denmark, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
Really cool. Can you tell what his occupation was? I'm having a hard time reading their wicked german cursive.
Also have you checked to see if it's faked? You should show the guys in the german documents section on the k98k forum I know that they will definitely enjoy it.

>Can you tell what his occupation was?
>Technischer Angestellter (Konstrukteur) @ Siemens >Konstrukteur @ HVA Peenemünde >He got the Techniker Ingenieresprüfung.
>Also have you checked to see if it's faked? It was very very ceap on a german militaria auctions page, so i first had doubts. But i looks good to me.
Im into collecting V2(A4) items like parts of the roket. So im in touch with a german Dr. who sometimes show up @ the Discovery Channels tv reportages about the A4. He also said it looks good.
>You should show the guys in the german documents section on the k98k forum I know that they will definitely enjoy it.
I´m german so i tried a few german militaria boards. But it´s a szene dominated by old men who have no clue about the internet. They are obsessed with books. No help if you asks something, they want you to buy (their) books. I also collect imperial hessian stuff. All books about the A4 when it comes to the technical view are from the Dr. im mentioned above. So i directly got in touch with him. And then there are always other bidders in the ebay auctions (A4 parts) but nobody shows something in the boards, so i also quit. Also a lot of envy and resentment. If you are new and young they treat you like a subhuman.
I also tried it on the international level @ the WAF. Also nobody showed something. Only the prices in the ebay auctions rised heavily after i showed something. Like they didn´t know that you can buy A4 parts and everybody wants to have one. But nobody showed anything. So i also quit it there.
