>get tracer round >pull bullet out >put it back backwards >make sure tracer works >load the gun >shoot underwater >tracer produces smoke bubble >bullet can now travel threw that bubble like a supersonic torpedo >???? >you just built best underwater gun on a planet.
That's... not how boundary layers work, I'm fairly certain. Also, water will fuck up the gun's operation unless it's a manual action. Not saying that this doesn't merit further study, mind you- just that I'm expressing my doubts.

When Germany tried using reverse bullets to knock out tanks the rifle would explode or something
Ryan Flores
No dumbass, at high speeds the so called bubble will collapse on itself. It wont work
Because they loaded the new cartridge with additional gunpowder for additional penetration. I don't think the bullet was a factor.

Look at that pic retard. This is the equivilant of building a bigger submarine. Youre producing more drag because the water has to go around your larger shape now. If anything it would be slower
Benjamin Murphy
>submarine has to be invisible and produce the less noise to not be spotted >make something that his more visible and produce fuck ton of noise oh yeah, that is going to work so well
Aaron Parker
That picture has got nothing to do with what he's talking about because there is an interface between the air and water.
he is right. When the speed is high enough you get turbulent flow which will cause air to go into the 'bubble'. It's the same principle as how golf balls work.
Chase King
Call Putin and tell him to stop producing supercavitation torpedoes.
this is a really dumb post and you should feel bad

Engineer here who has studied fluid dynamics at university.
You're a fuckwit and you have no idea what you're talking about.
Logan Evans
>Engineer here who has studied fluid dynamics at university. So you passed a couple of tests about things you don't understand by memorizing some equations and meme lines the professor keeps repeating, big deal.

It's also mostly obsolete because it has been replaced by a guided variant
