Why do people still ask this dumb question

Because there are only 30 people who think the luger is a cool gun.
each of us have made a post on Jow Forums asking this exact question and a few of us have designed them in solidworks back when we had CAD threads.

You're in luck.

Just stop being poor

I have questions about the differences between a 9mm and a .45 luger

There are a thousand books on the subject. The thing about lugerman's .45s is that they're not just .45 Lugers, but exact replicas of the 1907 US Trials Pattern .45 Luger.

That and he makes them in 10mm as an option.

The .45 is more bigger.
But these videos may help:

that's a joke, right ?
It's absolutely not in shape to be fired, and never will be

Mauser did it in the '70, iirc it was like 5000$

I'm one of the guys who worked on a model of it.
The design is a fucking nightmare. Everything about it is fucking lunacy.

Pic related. That's the fucking EJECTOR.

You know the little side plate that covers up the left side of the trigger group? THIS is what it looks like. A FUCKING SIDE PLATE.

Gun store near me has a couple lugers and original drum mag for a gorillion dollars, should i buy it?

THIS is what the fucking EXTRACTOR looks like! On most guns, it's a tiny fucking hook. Look at how many cuts this thing has! Those little tabs sticking out the sides near the rear of it? Those are variable fillets!

They cost more money to manufacture than what you can find all matching surplus ones for.

In short:
Do I think the Luger is aesthetically pleasing? SURE!
Do I think the design is in any way sane? FUCK NO!

This. You can buy them for sub 1500 all day anyway. They made a shitload of them.

dead sexy. this is what engineering looked like when people were treated as livestock. love it.

>that's a joke, right ?
Actually I didn't even look at it, I just saw the price. Here is one, and it's cheaper.

It's also why any Luger reproduction will cost you more than a Sig P210 which will out-shoot it any day of the week.

It's better, but I would still hesitate firing it

Actually OP, the swiss Parabellum could be considered as a luger repro. They're generally in way better shape and cheaper... at least in Switzerland. I got mine for 900$

lugerman makes one

Not Jow Forums related, go back to /diy/

Weapons are not allowed on /diy/. Firearms CAD/CAM discussion goes on Jow Forums.
t. /diy/

You say that but you're ressurecting old Nazi tech. If not /diy/ then Jow Forums

Weak bait. The Luger is imperial tech.

>blood pitting
My ass.

>It's better, but I would still hesitate firing it
Why? It looks pretty good. Inspect first, of course, but what's the issue?

>Churchill wasn't a jud sp8r

To be serious have you ever considered 3d printing? Can most read CAD files.
