part of me is actually relieved my dog died. She was getting up there in age and ,we thought, she had about 5-6 years left. This would have timed up with me moving out and joining the military, and potentially getting out just time for her final years. I was worried something, ironically like this, would happen and I wouldnt be here to say goodbye so Id entertain the thought of her dying suddenly and how much that would relieve me.
But then that exact thing happened and I feel like a selfish asshole that took her for granted. but worst of all is that deep down a small part of me thats actually relieved and I cant shake the feeling of guilt that comes with it

There should be stronger action on gun control in the US, including a federal register.

All transference of firearms should be overseen by a licensed dealer, or if one is unavailable in a 50 mile radius, then a police officer should be able to oversee it. Dealers should be able to facilitate trades between individuals.

Everyone should have to carry a federal firearms license when in possession of a firearm and there should be mandatory background checks on all people applying for the firearms.

All firearms should be stored unloaded and in a locked cabinet.

People who open or conceal carry firearms generally have some sort of god complex thinking they can actually do shit.

I guess I'm just a gun collector at this point, as much as I WANT to go out and shoot them. I know I'm a poor marksman and need to spend some time at the range. My college doesn't allow guns, though, and my roommates are nearly always afraid of them, so I can't bring them with me. I'm hoping to try to fit in some CMP classes between work this summer, though!
